LetsGetHigh 52,683
Last December, Madonna indicated she had no problem with Lady Gaga, despite the war of words between fans. LOL sure, that's the reason.
Iwontell 7,312
Well...first of all, NOT ALL criticism that Madonna has been getting lately has to do with her age. So let's start by pointing that out. It's not all ageism, some people really dislike her for whatever reason (in the same way I see a lot of people disliking Gaga and Beyoncé, who I also like, for stupid reasons), it's their right. The real reason Madonna is being "dragged" is because Rebel Heart didn't do as well as ppl excepted, which is due to a number of things: a MASSIVE leak, a divided audience, the fact that records just don't sell as much as they once did in general...Second: her tour is about to start, it's going to make a TON of money and shut her detractors up. So ppl don't need to worry.Third: why has Gaga ANYTHING to do with this, again? Why would she stand up for someone who has done nothing but bash her (and who's one of the causes Gaga got torn apart by the media back in 2012/13 anyway)? Shouldn't Katy Perry (who posed with Madonna for V Mag and helped on her "secret project") say anything first? Or Rihanna (who was also shot by Klein for Madonna's "secret project")? Or Taylor Swift, who's not only way more popular than Gaga currently, but has also just joined Madonna on the stage? Or is this article just bluntly trying to make someone look bad...? ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

daviddarko 144
Why would Gaga want to stand up for someone who has been bashing her as a promotion strategy? F*ck off. That's karma right there. This

dlioncourt91 765
Gaga will face the same thing Madonna is facing. Face it, people make age such a big thing when it really shouldn't be. It could be Gaga, Britney, Madonna, Cher, Katy but once they are in their 40's or 50's, they are expected to basically retire and take up knitting.Regardless of this stan war that has been going on LONG before 2012 really needs to end. I'm a bigger M fan but I admit Gaga makes catchy tunes but long after dragging her, I discovered more to her and I personally find this war annoying. Can't you enjoy both women? But in the end, I hope they do end this feud and actually snap back at the media constantly always trying to bury celebs and singers only to bring them up later. Typical media trash. Yves 1,891
Some think Madonna, 56, is too old to have fun, too old to dance, and pretty much too old to even breathe. Nnnn.
Battle 4 Ur Life 6,650
This article was clearly written by a butthurt Little Medoner...it sounds exactly like them...namedropping Gaga was the final piece of evidence... I'm also very against the ageism Madonna is suffering from (I actually like A LOT of her work) but that doesn't mean Gaga needs to speak a damn word about it. Madonna could just as well have stood up for her a lot of times when she was facing backlash but she chose the easiest, more mediocre way...So I say Gaga should give this b* a taste of her own medicine... I hope Gaga ignores her as long as she can because the tables have turned... "'Cause I won't be used for my love and left out to cry."
Dorothy Gale 7,575
So receiving backlash for s-xual assault is due to ageism? That's new.
RAMROD 107,576
I am not sure Gaga want anything to do with Madonna anymore after the last row from Madge camp as much as she wanted to say something And if she even did it, she will likely focused on the subject mattered than about Madonna. It's a shame tho, they were at least in good terms before reductive happens.
Psychedelic 1,098
Gaga does not have to say anything, but I hope she doesn't face ageism in 10 years... ageism in radio and media is getting bigger rage of age everytime... it's like you're supposed to go to retirement after late 30's
Jjang 2,262
She has received much hatred lately especially for her age but what has she done to fight back? She's acting like this old uncle who wants to be part of the young group during the christmas dinner. She even compared the ageism against her to racism and homophobia. That's exactly how she's fighting back, though. By breaking taboos and stigmas that are marked in society as the norm, ones that apply to her. By doing the exact opposite of what she's supposedly perceived to be doing is her way of forming a resistance. its manipulative, extreme and may upset a lot of people, but its definitely working. Well, ageism is a form of discrimination so i don't see why its a mistake to compare it to racism and homophobia?
Jjang 2,262
The article touches a topic that is larger than just Lady Gaga, though, she's just handed as an example because she's viewed as the new Madonna, meaning despite age differences, comparisons are still as relevant between the two.Its about this new generation of artists sticking up to Madonna, which they're not obligated to do obviously, but it would be refreshing to witness, because (if) they continue to be as relevant as Madonna is after many years & are still passionate about expressing themselves in their own individual manner, they will most likely be met with the same criticism and judgement.Stop being so narrow minded each time you see the word Madonna next to Lady Gaga ffs. LoveandMagic 1,731
I don't know, I saw a lot of people (including Lil Monsters) come out to support Madonna after her fall, and several have called out others for agiest attacks against Madge. Is she really experiencing more of a "backlash" than before? The media has always been rude about Madonna, I think particularly after her American Life era. She's been called a harlot I think since even the early 90's and the agiest comments have been going on for at least ten years. But she always shrugs it off, has record breaking tours, and then comes back ready for blood. Her massive fan base certainly isn't going anywhere. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
