Favorite Gaga songs and why?

I have 3 that I don't think I could live without.

1) Swine
I know a lot of Monsters don't like it, but I've been s-xually abused since I was a kid and raped repeatedly and abused when I was 15 by my first boyfriend (we were both in the closet at the time too, and on d--gs so I couldn't have gone to my family or police or anything without dealing with a truckload of B.S.) but when she had that in depth explanation of Swine at Swinefest it hit me hard. I mean, I was in tears by the time she hit the first "I know, I know, I know, I know you want me". Then when she performed it I could feel the anger and hurt welling up and escaping. Letting go of all that rage and pain for 4 and a half minutes is just :legend:

2) Princess Die

First heard about it when a bunch of people were calling it a tasteless shot at Princess Di (even though Gaga and her mom love her) so I checked it out and the melody was so soothing. It's kind of like the sad version of Swine in my head I guess  plus it's the first song I actually learned on the piano so there's that. There's something magic about it and it's a real shame we never got a studio version and the only versions we can listen to has a bunch of people screaming over it :cryga:

3) Judas

Great bop :music: plus the meaning behind it is so meta. Of course the obvious meaning (in love with a bad boy) helped me with me boyfriend situation mentioned above, but it was the lower, more hidden meaning that I love. Jesus would not be the savior that Christians know today if it weren't for the betrayal of Judas and we wouldn't be who we are or as strong as we are if we didn't endure the painful experiences in our lives.

So I'm attracted to songs that help me cope and stay strong, which is why Gaga's my fave :monsterpaw: she has a lot of those...Fashion!, Marry the Night, Hair, Dance in the Dark, Born This Way, ARTPOP, Gypsy, So Happy I Could Die...I have a problem

Paparazzi - personal connection to it and I associate it with my first love

Alejandro - this song I also associate with my first love and the pain I was going through, this song helped me realize I was in fact bis-xual, not straight

So Happy I Could Die - the depression, my cough syrup addiction, the distance between me and my first love

Judas - after all the pain I had been thru and continue to endure because of my choice, I still love him

Aura - I don't let very many people into my world, not many people know the boy behind the aura, this song does so much more for me on an identity/self-accepting level than Born This Way ever did/could

ARTPOP - love, art, peace, and healing

scheiße - helped me overcome my feeling of being lonely & gave myself self worth, still consistently helps me cope with anxiety feelings nowadays

mary jane holland - reflects my state of mind & copying with my own madness, struggles with alcohol & identity, as well as the pressure from my chosen career path to be generic when i want to be artistic.

so happy i could die - coping with life in general through my vices, reflects my love of music and my s-xuality that people still don't understand & how i feel free when i'm drunk & partying.

also, i'm so sorry to hear about why you love swine, i hope you have self worth still and he didn't take everything away from you, you're still an amazing person and we love you and are proud of you for overcoming ur struggles

Poker Face: This song just reminds me of a time in my life when things were so much simpler. I was like 14 when this song came out and I remember it being everywhere. It's really hard to imagine a time in my life when this song wasn't a part of it: school dances, workout routines, car rides with friends, football games. Every time this song comes on now I just go into reminiscing over a lot of the great high school memories I have experienced. Plus the song is catchy af still...:spin:

Bad Romance: Even though this has to be one of my favorite Gaga songs of all time, this comes with a sour experience with my first love who was in the closet at the time. I just remember replaying this song over and over again as I rode the bus to school thinking about this guy who I wanted, and no matter how sucky he treated me, I didn't care, I just wanted him. I loved this song so much, and he knew I was in love with it, that we made it "our song" later when we got together.

Beautiful, Dirty, Rich: This was one of the first Gaga songs I really liked, and back then I didn't really relate to the content now, but as I'm in college, I have spent a lot of time and money partying, and have gotten myself into some pretty sticky situations because of it. And a lot of my friends think I have a lot of money, when it reality that's not exactly the case, LOL. The part that says, "Daddy, I'm so sorry, we just like to party." Makes me think of all the times my parents lecture me about drinking all the time. :cryga:

Money Honey: I've always really liked this song. I feel like I can personally relate to it. Like it's great to have nice things, and go on fancy trips, and live a lavish life, but having someone to share your love with doesn't make those things not as important.

Alejandro: Again, this song reminds me of my first love, and at the time I felt like I could relate to it so much, which should have told me something in the very beginning that I should have gotten away from the relationship!

Teeth: I loved this song, and still love it. It reminds me of my first love also, lol. I just remember singing, "Show me your teeth", "Don't be scared, I've done this before.", because I knew he was in the closet and I knew he wanted me. I just found the song so sensual and basically every emotion I was feeling at the time. :gaycat:

Do What U Want -  It's a bop and I love its meaning, it makes you feel free

Applause - I fell in love with it from the first listen, definitely one of her signature songs for me

G.U.Y. - I love singing along to it and it's really powerful

ARTPOP - It has got an amazing meaning and I love its techno sound too

Venus - I love how groovy it is, it takes me to outer space

Gypsy - It's really uplifting and emotional and it makes me happy, also watching it live made me love it even more

Swine - I love how wild it sounds, it's a liberating EDM masterpiece

Bad Romance - doesn't need an explanation, it's perfect pop

Sexxx Dreams - another amazing song I love singing along to

Aura - the first time I heard it when it leaked I almost had an orgasm, I still love it a lot now

These are just a few of my favorite ones though, she's got too many great songs...
