LoveandMagic 1,731 Posted April 22, 2015 Share Posted April 22, 2015 The "serious" tag isn't available for Gaga Thoughts I believe, only for Conversation Area Β On-topic: I'm not scared or worried for her at all Β Even if she isn't super successful and dominating the charts and so on, she'll have enough success to continue making music Β There are loads of artists out there who don't even have a few million followers or views that are still releasing music and performing and their fans are totally fine with it - I'm sure if she ends up losing a lot of her funding and so on then she'll still have enough to create her vision within the financial boundaries that are set Β βOnce again you bring up an excellent point. I think she was put on massive budget restriction for Edge of Glory and that video is FAR more entertaining than half the big budgeted crap I'm seeing lately. She has the talent, she has the charisma, she doesn't need much honestly.Β And as for funding herself, didn't she do that with G.U.Y., and many fans argue that's one of her best videos.Β In the Entertainment field, if you can make a career (living) off doing your craft, you are automatically a success because it is a massive struggle/crap shoot. There are TONS of talented, good looking people out there trying to make it. Some deserve it more than those already at the top, but a lot of the game is to rely on who you know or who you blow, or just dumb blind luck. Gaga has the ENTIRE package and luckily she HAS made it, probably exceeding even her own earlier ambitions. She's a household name, people talk about her. She is respected by legends. She has a huge devoted base and tons of money to finance her personal projects if she so chooses. In my opinion, she has it made.Β I myself don't much care for chart success. It's nice, but most of the artists I see consistantly on top I find quite boring and predictable. I don't begrudge them their success nor doΒ I don't blame them with sticking with the tried-and-true methods because they work, but they don't really interest me. Despite constant promotion I rarely think of them and easily grow tired of what they produce even when I initially love it.Β Gaga is one of the few who still manages to intrigue and exciteΒ me.Β Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. Her career is her music, if she continues making good stuff, then her career is on point. Success is a very rare thing in the music scene (think about it, the percentage of musicians [real musicians] that is successful may be like 0.00001% in the whole world?) so artists keep music going on if they have people interested, sometimes not even making a living of it. I'm in for the ride whatever LG5 sales or chart success are.Β And I think many artists deserve the level of success Gaga has (as in present, not past), but that doesnt mean its going to happen.
