Even Turkey had a female Prime Minister... 

Ps: In parliamentary democracy Prime Minister is the practical head of the state, and holds more power than president. Only legit power president holds is rejecting a law three times which is decided on by parliament, and deciding on a referendum. And also president is the head of the army, but rest of powers about government and legislation belongs to Prime Minister.

I'm here for almost anyone, as long as they are qualified and educated. 

 

​Most liberal women I know (I certainly do not speak for all) WILL NOT vote for a Republican, regardless of gender. We've seen them in action. Those like Michelle Bachman and Palin are viewed with contempt. The only possible exception (for many of us) is Condoleeza Rice. She's the only one out of the current bunch shown that seems to have half a brain. The rest seem either crazy, dumb, superficial, or puppets (or all the above).

they're older women tho and just want to see a woman president. as for republican women all i have to go on is political documentaries and one scene from one of them sticks out in my head when they were campaigning early in 2008 and hillary was gaining steam for a nomination there were these little old republican ladies at a republican campaign saying "we need to beat the b---h"  

 

shouldnt generalize them but i just think dems are more open minded to voting republican if it helps socially than republicans would be. like you said with condoleeza, and how they would consider her a possible exception, i dont think there could exist even a possible exception in the eyes of a republican.

​It's the moderates and swing voters at stake.

Bill Clinton as a moderate Democrat from the south carried states that no Dem has won since, and Hilary being older and connected to him might give her a shot. Women liked Bill too.

Palin would have been a disaster. She is all about the fame and money and dumber than a brick and her schtick was so tired and nauseating. I didn't know any woman that considered voting for McCain because of her (McCain was actually liked, somewhat). 

Most liberal women I know (old and young) don't think kindly of female Republican politicians. They are often so obviously chosen so the party doesn't just look like a bunch of bigoted old millionaire white guys. It's how they try to distance themselves from accusations of s-xism. But the women they pick all look and sound a certain way and have the most disturbing world views (and come off really dumb). Republican politicians and commentators LOVE going on about how "pretty" their women are. CONSTANTLY. It's really obvious they don't think much of them other than as glorified show ponies. 

It's a real shame. I actually know many very smart conservatives that had to leave the party because of all the quacks. The party needs a SERIOUS overhaul instead of doubling down on the stupid and bigotry. People like Cruz and Bachman aren't the answer, and I hope we do NOT have another Republican president UNTIL this happens.

I don't know much about what she's done etc but I hope sh's aware that if she is elected as president, doesn't matter if she is the greatest president in 50 years, she will never be complimented of her actions should they be productive.

Australia only had our first female Prime Minister a few years ago and yes, she wasn't the best prime minister we've had, but she wasn't at all as bad as the media and other politicians painted her. The abuse she copped by EVERYONE in the country was appalling. If she were male she would not have been so disrespected during her time at prime minister and I hope that should Hillary be elected, the U.S. and other male politicians in the country show her the respect she deserves and commends her for any actions she takes for the better.
