I definitely agree with Gypsy. I keep hearing it in clothing and music stores (particularly in the mall). It just sounds very radio friendly.

I'm still shocked G.U.Y. didn't do as well. I could see MANiCURE possibly being a moderate hit. But I'm pretty awful in trying to figure out what the GP would like.

Of course, it all comes down to promotion.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Venus, DWUW, and Gypsy would've been hits if released in that order.

when Venus was the planned single it had a radio deal plan, that along with the preorder would've sent the song to the top 10. And the the planned video wouldve slayed. Applause to me was the song that kinda brought Gaga back on the map after BTW, Venus would've actaully started the era.

DWUW always screamed third single to me, it's an album selling song. And by the time it would've been a planned single, she would have had enough time to plan the visuals, video, etc. DWUW flopped because she wasn't ready for it creatively. And she should've released the Xtina version to pop radio instead.

Gypsy shouldve been been the final single.

DWUW and G.U.Y could have been huge if promoted differently or released at another time other than those two I think Gypsy and MANiCURE have top 10 potential written all over them.

DWUW would be her BIG hit. Applause a hit.

Sexxx Dreams would've done OK.

The rest no. I'm sorry.

I would add Fashion! & Donatella to the list in the OP as well tbh.

But let's state the REAL reasons why these songs would be potential hits;

MANiCURE - it's catchy & stereotypical Gaga, the GP doesn't care about "fresh" or anything like that they simply love catchy, well flowing pop songs.

Gypsy - Generic sound, lyrics & message (her most generic song ever tbf) so it had potential

Venus - maybe not a hit, but everyone i've played it to finds it quirky & catchy. They love the "Don't you know my ass is famous!" part the most.

Fashion! - Generic, catchy and very Daft Punk-esque

Donatella - insanely good & catchy, i've played this for my chart generic loving friends and they find it a massive bop & the beat to be hard hitting.

Out of all of these i'd say Gypsy has the most potential so.

gypsy > donatella > MANiCURE > venus > fashion! (in my honest opinion)

In Austin, circa her SXSW performance, there was a huge push for Venus and MANiCURE. I remember the first Venus snippets and thought... Incredible... The sounds, the beat, the s-xiness and the fun! Then that promo song came out.... Haha.

I think ARTPOP is a beautiful album but honestly no songs besides Applause and Do What U Want are even single material, let alone potential hits.

This exactly.
