It's 7 years old. Compared to other songs she's made yes it's basic

She literally created a timeless pop perfection with Poker Face. compare it to other dance - pop songs as of recent memory and you'll realize the unique & mysterious soundscape it carries. Its a standout in her discography, no doubt about that.

i don't find gypsy vulnarable at all because it's all stuff we've known about for years, plus the lyrics are katy perry level lyrics at best, it's not really a Gaga song to me & i find donatella serious because it's relatable to me so.. it's a serious song to me under some repsect

Im sorry for saying this, to me since you whole heartedly believe this I find you somewhat unintelligent. Im pretty arrogant so don't be too offended if at all. But thats just how I perceive you from hearing your point of view.

Rude. Can we lay off the offensive stereotypes please? :awkney:

PF isn't basic, this post is. :queenga:

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

Okay. It's an iconic hit of hers. I get that. I do. But if Yall want a poker face 5.0 I'll be in the corner listening to fresh music from my favorite artists that's unlike anything they've done before. And I'm a little nervous about gaga working with redone because what if they make an album that follows the formula of the fame? That'd be boring. I don't want to hear this album and instantly be like "this song is poker face 5.0" or "this is structured like telephone" I want to hear it and be like "She's never done anything like this before ever" don't you? I don't think I'm asking too much.

Will her new music please the gay bottoms who worship poker face or will it be new and refreshing and experimental?

What do you think?

I'd prefer the later but I also enjoy the pop-dance hits too (I love Pokerface, LoveGame, Bad Romance, Telephone, and Alejandro). I've loved all her albums so far and most of her singles (not really crazy about JD, You & I or EOG but they are definitely good songs). She really seems excited and focus, so I think that regardless of which direction she takes she will make something that is quality and that I will enjoy. I am really looking forward to the next era!

Here's what I would really like to see sometime in the future (be it next album or several, several years from now)

an acoustic rock/indie rock/metal/punk rock album

a funk/disco album

a completely experimental/crazy-Ga album

A Bjorkish/Kate Bush type hybrid album

A pure Rave album or Electronica album

A soul/RnB/Blues album with hard rock vibes

But I'm cool with another Euro/House/EDM/Pop/Dance album too. Really, the skies the limit.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

well i'm not unintelligent actually & the fact u know ur arrogant and make that comment actually shows ur the unintelligent one since u don't have the sense to make a reply that is less offensive when u know it to be so

since when became "gay" a homophobic term?

This here was literally used to single out one big group of Gaga fans that we know exist in this forum: a typically white gay teenager/young adult who generally listens to rather generic pop music produced by major female pop stars. This is like 30% of the entire fan base and nearly 90% of the chart freaks of GGD. Why not adress them?

Using bottom as a slur is homophobic.

I honestly couldn't help it. The fact that you think Donatella is serious and Gypsy is Katy Perry level soul-less garbage. It seriously makes no sense, I don't even feel its a matter of opinion. Especially since Donatellas production is recycled.

I wasn't even saying Gypsy was like profound or anything, but it was a moment of relatable vulnerability on an otherwise predominantly bouncy dance record.

well it is a matter of opinion it's music & i can have my opinion on it just as you have yours, but there's no need to make it into a personal attack on my intellect over a FVCKING BUNCH OF SONG.

& FYI you're putting words in my mouth; at no point did i call it soul-less garbage, i simply gave my opinion of why i don't like it bc i find it's written like a katy perry song & i don't find it profound

If you think about it I could imagine Katy creating Gypsy but never Donatella

I don't think her label would let her make a song like Donatella.

Well yeah but only because its a cheeseball ballad which is rampant in her discography.

That doesn't really mean anything in context to the conversation though lol

Katy wouldn't make Donatella sure but Icona Pop already did. One is not really more generic than the other. At least Gypsy wasn't so clearly recycled.
