Gaga expressing her hate for Telephone and its MV

first of all, this is highly paraphrased. if you quoted her fully youd understand why she feels this way.

the song itself has no point, its not that well written and its just a basic pop notch that could be on anyones belt.

the videos is great, i watched it 9 straight times when it premiered, but it really only gets the praise it does because it was the height of her popularity. its so excessive, and camp, if she were to do something like that at this point of her career she'd be buried in criticism.

Receipts....? :toofunny:

It was never sold to Britney.... she literally just had Britney make her own demo to represent to the label after Gaga made hers. It was going to be on Circus but they ended up choosing another song about telephones to be on it.

Regardless, that was one minute detail in my post yet it warranted a ":toofunny:" face?

Oh how I loath wasting my time responding to the theatrics on GGD somethings...

also the fact she tries to disguise beyonce being on it was a choice :laughga: sis we all know ur label made u add her bc of her popularity at the time +her verse legit adds NOTHING to the song

I'm having a little bit of a hard time understanding your logic here.

What exactly do Beyonce's verses not do that's Gaga's verses do?

This is old news.

Throwback it said

On topic: It's so funny cause Telephone is one of her biggest singles and she still performs it today, I mean she performed it at the artRAVE and she cut Marry the Night and The Edge of Glory (she didn't sing the studio version) and also she told us she loves the two singles from Born This Way very much.

I guess we'll never understand Gaga's mind.

She's allowed to have an opinion just like the rest of us. Besides, the rest of the quote, which Gaga Daily so generously nixed to make it more clickbait-y, explains what she means by both of those. She said that she wishes the video was more focused and the reason she doesn't like the song is because of how stressful its creation was on her.

I'm with @No Angel @MARLON BRANDO @Sir Stansalot on this one

IMO Telephone is a legendary bop and the music video is her most recent best music video without a doubt :lolly:

Everything on ARTPOP is better than Telephone? Um no, sorry :awkney:

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

When Nicola Formichetti said her outfit changes are getting out of hand for him, it was a metaphor for how outrageously she changes her mind.

Also, it's kind of pathetic how people take a 4-year-old statement from Gaga out of context to ruffle some feathers and get a hit thread on GGD. :awkney:

How is that taken out of context? Those are literally her direct answers to those questions, from start to finish.

It leaves out the IMPORTANT fact that she just hated the way Telephone`s production and mixing came along because it was mega stressful and messy, not the way it sounded or who was featured on it. She specifically said that to leave no room for interpretation/reading between the lines. By only quoting "I hate Telephone. It's the song I have the most difficult time listening to." you are making room for people misinterpreting her quote as some kind of Beyoncé shade or straight-up delusion/buffonery that came out of nowhere. Just look at the posts here before people pointed that extended explanation out, half of them called Gaga a lunatic and the other half were ready to accuse Interscope to push Beyoncé as a collaborator on her and claimed that Gaga actually hates her.
