MrNigerian87 6
Maybe I'm alone on this, but I love telephone
djBuffoon 12,120
Too bad it is the best thing she has put out in the last five years. Not even close.
djBuffoon 12,120
Every single song on ARTPOP is better than Telephone. 100% true. "Telephone" is catchy but basic, and even ARTPOP at its weakest has more going for it.
gagzus 15,892
I'm having a little bit of a hard time understanding your logic here. What exactly do Beyonce's verses not do that's Gaga's verses do?nothing & that's the point, it's a pointless verse on a pretty pointless song, it was made specifically to be a hit which is obvious. Admin 24,441
It leaves out the IMPORTANT fact that she just hated the way Telephone`s production and mixing came along because it was mega stressful and messy, not the way it sounded or who was featured on it. She specifically said that to leave no room for interpretation/reading between the lines. By only quoting "I hate Telephone. It's the song I have the most difficult time listening to." you are making room for people misinterpreting her quote as some kind of Beyoncé shade or straight-up delusion/buffonery that came out of nowhere. Just look at the posts here before people pointed that extended explanation out, half of them called Gaga a lunatic and the other half were ready to accuse Interscope to push Beyoncé as a collaborator on her and claimed that Gaga actually hates her.It doesn't leave out that part. That part is an answer to a different question. She wouldn't have even said it if the interviewer hadn't asked her to elaborate.Your point would be valid if she said "I hate Telephone BUT not the song itself..." and I left out the BUT, but the quote in the OP is literally her response to the question "What's your worst song?" from the start to finish. Supersonic 49,376
It doesn't leave out that part. That part is an answer to a different question. Omitting that, and then putting another quote of her from a different interview on the picture about how she wasn't content with the Telephone video (while also kind of leaving out that she wanted to do the editing herself) is just generally shady, especially considering this public consensous on GGD that everybody Gaga works with is fiercly overrated/untalented. Dayum 240
JD, PF, Papa, BR and App are her best videos. The rest are so-so and some cringe-worthy.
darkwolf 590
I'm sure she changed her mind since then, at least about the video, G.U.Y ?

Versace 7,960
Gaga's top 3/Best 3 music videos in my opinion and it's a popular one1-Bad Romance2-Telephone3-G.U.Y I won't go into too much details but basically Bad Romance's video is very iconic, if we look into the video from a certain perspective BR's video is really simple, seems ordinary nothing too big. All scenes are in the same place, basic storyline (she gets kindapped, treated as a s-x slave, gets revenge) the idea is not basic but the storyline is so simple, the outfits were also very simple but iconic. Overall Bad Romance highlights the less is more saying.Whereas Telephone was far from simple it was the true meaning of a big production, the storyline is amazing that it can get it's own movie. The different scenes, the over the top outfits, it was a feast for the eyes and easily best music video of 2010. Telephone's video is what solidified Gaga as a force to be reckoned with , I mean it must be hard topping or getting as much impact after BR's release. I feel Telephone showed to me her potential visually and I don't think we will ever know her reasons for disliking it. I hope she gets asked why and what song on ARTPOP was suppose to be it's continuation , heck it could be a song that didn't make the cut , she never confirmed if it was Aura, it could be MANiCURE as well. Versace 7,960
I'm with @No Angel @MARLON BRANDO @Sir Stansalot on this one IMO Telephone is a legendary bop and the music video is her most recent best music video without a doubt Everything on ARTPOP is better than Telephone? Um no, sorry Serve that TEA sis , totally agree and IMO G.U.Y's music video is the closest thing we got to Telephone's slayage.
Pop 4,541
She probably hates some of her ARTPOP stuff more now. So at least that album was good for something. The Taylor Brigade: KNOCKOUT
