DogFood 1,649
Meghan really writes from a stereotypical point of view on some songs, but like the kids I also am confused because she seems to be going in and out of breaking the mold Like, she uses stereotypical references for imagery, but then says she isnt just one of those women.... but she wants to be treated like those women --- but not? Like, from a lyrical point of view, I get where shes going from, and these are pop songs, not songs meant to inspire generations, so from that perspective its fine. Its a problematic bop, but im not going to bash on it because of that. Praying for the kids who look up to ha and follow ha every word though Maybe she means that she is in some ways and in some ways is not? AATB suffered from similar things (and i dont mean "skinny b---hes" ) A lot of this sounds like overinflated chivalry and babying women --- "im never wrong" "treat me like a lady" "tell me im beautiful". It sounds good on paper, but idk i think shes making fun of the stereotypes the video is tongue in cheeck
DogFood 1,649
This video does make Meghan seem kinda insane, though MEGHAN TRAINOR | Katy Perry | Taylor Swift | Lady Gaga | Rihanna | Ariana Grande | Beyoncé | Nicki Minaj | Sam Smith

ItsTommyBitch 12,640
i think shes making fun of the stereotypes the video is tongue in cheeck Thats quite possible too If shes being sarcastic about the entire thing its well done, though Im sure many people are going to take it th wrong way having no point of reference from her. Like, if Marina and the Diamonds wrote and sang this song, it'd be obviously sarcasm because shes pretty vocal about being a feminist, but i dont think we know Meghan enough personally to be like "Shes clearly joking" At least I don't folow her enough to know that -- I don't think shes necessarily referring to herself though at all anyhow. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

"wannabe pop princess" She had one of the biggest hits of 2014, and one of the biggest of 2015 so far. Also, her album is doing well and DFH is about to become a hit. ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Meghan has said before that she's not a feminist. You don't have to be a feminist to not want to follow old fashioned traditional gender roles for women though, in fact a lot of people claim they aren't feminists because they don't know what feminism actually is, so I dont think this is really any indicator of what she believes 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
