takufox 0
I think the concert will not be magnificent without SHICD, this song should't be missing. wholeheartedly agree! SHICD at this point is one of her signature non single tracks. i really want paper gangster in the setlist too, i missed it whens she performed it during the theater version of MB sooooooo....i want it. IWasBornThisWay 77
it kinda will kill the other fans ....but ....she just has to change setlist of BTW tour at least 5 times or even more 8-10 times (replace 2-3 songs by other "not sung during BTW tour yet" songs)
Griffin 6
Lady Gaga presents The Born This Way Ball 1. Marry The Night (Modified Thanksgiving Version*) 2. The Queen The Celebration Film (Bad Romance - Richard Vission Remix) 3. Bad Romance (Vission Version) 4. Dance In The Dark 5. Telephone (only acapella chorus) 6. Poker Face 7. Just Dance The Intemperate Film 8. The Fame (MB Version) 9. Bad Kids 10. Government Hooker 11. Heavy Metal Lover (excl. outro) Stage Reset - Heavy Metal Lover Outro 12. Hair 13. Living On The Radio (later replaced by 4th album song) 14. Stand By Me (only performed during first leg) The Ruin 3D Stage Interlude - Paper Gangsta 15. Paparazzi 16. Monster 17. So Happy I Could Die The Onset Film (Yoü and I - Metronomy Remix) 18. Born This Way (extended) 19. Black Jesus †Amen Fashion 20. Highway Unicorn (shortened) The Voltaic Film (Bloody Mary - The Horrors Remix) 21. Electric Chapel 22. Scheiße 23. Alejandro (Kleerup Version) 24. Judas (w/ DJ White Shadow Remix) 25. Americano (shortened Mariachi-only version) The Rebirth Film 26. The Edge Of Glory The show deals with the concept of chiliasm. Marry The Night and The Queen open the show, representing GaGa's entrance into the world, and how she wasn't afraid of anything. All the songs after the Celebration Film are about GaGa's happiness and the way she battled the monsters in her life (the love monster, self monster and the suffocation monster/feeling of pressure). The last half of the act is also an extended look into her love life and s-xuality. Then, all of the songs following the Intemperate Film describe her downfall, if you like. Songs like Heavy Metal Lover and Bad Kids talk about the time in her life she gave up and didn't care about it any more. Hair (and Government Hooker) describe the reason why she did the things she did. Living On The Radio/Stand By Me basically just shouts "you know what? **** it". After The Ruin (3D Interlude), all of the songs featured describe the s-x and addiction monsters. So Happy I Could Die is performed at the height of the girl's addiction. Everything seems calm and happy, but as the Onset Film reveals it's not. The world has ended and is starting again. In order to survive, GaGa has to learn from her past mistakes and make the world beautiful again. Born This Way is the anthem of this era in her life. Black Jesus †Amen Fashion then describes the new way of thinking she adopted that was different to the way she knew before and had been taught. She discovers these things by meeting new people and seeing new things. Highway Unicorn is her pledge to never make the same mistakes. She's now travelling down a road with a goal, and she's determined to get there. The Voltaic Film is based on the electricity and determination in her heart to get there. On the way she finds the Electric Chapel, the safe place she's been searching for her whole life. There she learns to be brave (Schieße) and finds the confidence to find a man again (Alejandro). But whilst there, she goes and makes the same mistake. GaGa becomes too devoted to her love life and soon learns that she found the wrong man (Judas). She can't deal with herself now. GaGa runs away (Americano) and comes to terms with what she's feeling inside (that the new world that was once the land of the free has become a prison). The Rebirth Film implies that she died/killed herself. When GaGa returns for one last time (during the encore - which is suggested to be during the time of the rebirth), she performs The Edge of Glory. She's at the end of her road (for now). Gaga has realised deep down inside that she never really reached that glorious moment that has been described by so many important figures in her life, so she decides to celebrate. Because to her, her death is truly her most glorious moment. GaGa sings the song, inviting everyone to celebrate the moment with her.
