I don't know about anyone else, but for me EDM is one of thos genres that sounds amazing on the first few listens but gets old fast as the more it gets played, whereas BTW is far more timeless, I still love the less EDM songs on ARTPOP though (plus Swine and Donatella give me a headache now lol)

I like Swine but I can definitely see how someone can dislike it. I've never been big on Donatella.

Stans especially the ones on ATRL love everything until the album isn't doing so great. If the album sells like hotcakes, every single stan is in love with it. Then, you have the people that care about the music and not sells, and may not have enjoyed the music.

I still love ARTPOP. I don't love it as much as TFM, but I don't regret buying it. Enjoy the music.

I agree. I listen to my copy a lot (even though it's definitely not my favorite Gaga album), and I have no problem telling others I enjoy it.

I can see where the OP is coming from. Band-wagoners wouldn't be so annoying if they wouldn't flood threads so much. Everyone is entitled to express their opinion, but trying to be a party pooper on threads meant to celebrate something by the fans and try to pressure others to feel the same is obnoxious and annoying. And I don't just see it on ATRL.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

I love ARTPOP & it's message. Sometimes I find myself wondering if Gaga wanted things to go the way they did. "Decay" was still a theme very much present.

Nod if you wanna make love with the enemy. ❤

I'm pretty much the only user who defends the album art so I'll use that as my receipt, also liked the cover when it was revealed and I have the mp3s from the iTunes festival as proof.

I love the cover, i honestly think its her best one yet. Casual fans on my facebook agreed. I'm confused why people on here don't like it. It's really very aesthetically pleasing.

I still think that it is a fun and nice album, a party good time album. I enjoy it. It just wasn't at all what I expected by being called ARTPOP.

I still dance to a great bit of it!

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I was excited for ARTPOP. Aura was amazing when it leaked, Applause was also great, then the full album released and it was okay And enjoyable but it got old really fast and the production isn't that great compared to Born This Way.

hop on that **** like a maniac

Sunday

And you really have to dig out those old threads. :flop:

But you have your point, tho. Back then they were like "BTW sounds so dull compared to ARTPOP" or "ARTPOP is best work to date!" then all of a sudden they started praising BTW and dragging ARTPOP to the dirt. :wtfga:

I'm not saying BTW or ARTPOP is bad. In fact, I love both albums and they're tied as my top 1 favorite. (Honestly, I couldn't choose between these two masterpieces

Edit: dat edit :messga:

I think a lot of it comes from the fact that this site is full of people that like to appear edgy and different. People on ATRL hate ARTPOP now because it underperformed. But people on here "hate" it because it's fun for some people to trash it and appear like they're too good for an album that was critically panned and a commercial underperfomance. Those types of people deal with that in a lot of ways. One of which is just the plain shady posts in ANY ARTPOP thread. The most common way is jumping to another artist, changing their avi, and claiming how much they like that certain artist more because their last era wasn't critically panned and considered successful which makes it less "embarrassing" to them. In reality though, these people still bop to Venus and know the choreography to GUY which they do so flamboyantly and passionately because know they know they love the album.

uhm i always loved ARTPOP. even after it flopped. The album era was messy as **** and thats what killed it. I showed my straight friends Venus, and they all stanned. Its catchy as **** and if it would have been the lead, it would changed a lot of things. It just has that wow factor and thats what you expect from Gaga. Applause slays but it just isn't cutting edge to me. Its a very good pop single but in Gaga terms, I wanted something out of this world
