The fact that everything has to be a "shade" or "drag" these days. :sweep:

People need to read more carefully.

How's this shade? It's true. No celebrity from this day in age will be remembered 2,000 years from now. Generations 2,000 years from now aren't going to pass down stories about Madonna, she's right.

The saddest thing is we'll never know if anyone from now will make it into the history books :cryga: It's actually pretty scary, Marina has a very good point

I don't think Marina brought an umbrella to Madonna's beach party to shade her

She's just stating the fact that we must cherish what memories we have now because even people with legacies and memories as old as Madonna's will be forgotten in two millennia :toofunga:

She was just using her as an example to illustrate the meaning behind her song; Marina adores Madonna

Mozart is still remembered today, so is Jesus & they were boring.

We live in a world were nuclear weapons exist. It is completely plausible for the world to be completely blown to bits and pieces within minutes. There could be like 20 lone survivors in the end trying to rebuild the human society. All existential proof of anybody or anything significant in pop culture IN THE ENTIRE WORLD would have been like deleted for the offspring of the surviving generation. They would grow up not knowing or caring who Madonna, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Lady Gaga or anybody else were.

It's very unlikely many entertainer's will be remembered 2000 years from now, I would say. Not impossible, but highly, highly unlikely.

I imagine it's more about political figures, inventors, or scientists that will be remembered.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Madonna will still be alive in 2 million years, just like Cher.
