I have been reading the forum but never wanted to post. Just wanna say hi to everyone

I became a fan of Lady Gaga since ARTPOP era :) To me it's very different from many albums out there and the production is amazing. and Gaga's lyrics made them so unique. I mean imo it's way better than Beyonce, Prism, and let's not even talk about Britney Jean.

But reading on here I see a lot of members dislike it or disappointed in it. Could you explain to me why?

Hello I agree with everything you said and ARTPOP is my favorite Gaga album as well.

I think it's an underrated album, it's good but the era around it dainted the view of it for some people.

ARTPOP gets **** on because it was overhyped, released too late, and we had heard a large portion of it long before the albums release so it was kind of dead on arrival.

that and lots of flop fans only are here for Gaga's queen-of-pop-sized success which ARTPOP failed to deliver

It's not that it's a bad album (some songs are a little eh), it's just that it doesn't really compare to her other albums.

It has nowhere near the hits/iconic songs that The Fame has. It doesn't have the lyricism of The Fame Monster. It doesn't have the hype of Born This Way. It's just there. 

To me, it's just a very lackluster album in general. The promotion was very bad and a lot of the tracks seem rushed to get done. Many of them are forgettable and get old quick.
