Jed 7,716 Posted April 15, 2015 Author Share Posted April 15, 2015 It's pretty worrying that a woman thinks like this of her own kind, you'd imagine that after experiencing some negative patriarchal effects that it'd spur a person further towards wanting women to be in positions of power to prove the naysayers wrong right? Like I understand internalized misogyny because I've had a firsthand experience with my own internalized homophobia but it still is jarring whenever I hear women talk like this.. Women saying things like "we don't have the hormones!" and "well she was kind of asking for it [in regards to s-xual assault]" just shows exactly how ingrained patriarchy is in our collective conscious.
