Gay Couple Denied Rights To Their Biological Child By Texas Judge

Not that I live in Texas or that this is a particularly massive story right now, but still thought it deserved attention.

"A Texas family court judge has denied the request of a legally married same-s-x couple to adopt their newborn biological twin sons. The judge also denied a petition to list both men — or either — on the children’s birth certificates, even though Jason Hanna and Joe Riggs each biologically fathered one of the twin boys,  Lucas and Ethan."

Suppose another example of a child's life having to take a backseat whilst a judge is not only just allowed but encouraged to throw people around because of his, lets be polite; misguided views.  

 

Also, the babies are made up of THEIR genes. What else do they have to do to be called 'the father'? 

I'm not surprised by any means, but I don't think people outside of America see this enough.

 

It's this embarrassing as much as it is disgusting?

​bc they used an egg donor and the donor has to give it up for adoption then have the parents request it for adoption
