MANiCURE1295 8,673
Any other label would do something bigger and better for her. She's better off with an independent label. Do you have any proof to back this up? I would love to see some facts if you have some
Michael Woodson 234
I have no idea at this time. It will take a while to see how things go with Jimmy's replacement. IIt takes a while for a change of this magnitude. Hopefully, things will be sorted out and in place by the time Gaga is gearing up for her next era.I've heard some good things about Jimmy's replacement, But we'll see what happens. Shaney 5,515
Yes, the disaster around ARTPOP. Interscope is to blame for ARTPOP's under-performance. They released ARTPOP a week after they released Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP 2 album for ****'s sake. What kind of ****ing sideways bull**** is that?... The promo was absolutely ****ing garbage and tragic. Interscope is a horrible incompetent label. That's not the reason ARTPOP "underperformed"

Dorothy Gale 7,575
Isn't that a country label though?Well, Taylor is a pop artist now. I don't see why Gaga couldn't go to Big Machine.

AbuHassan1992 766
I'm sure Gaga would decline another deal with them. lol you don't get it. An option means they can extend their contract if they want to, even though she doesn't. and why would she decline another deal with them, anyway? what makes you so sure? Whispering 18,865
Yeah, she could go to Big Machine for sure. Gaga and Taylor as label mates would be cool. Wouldn't be a good move. Scott doesn't have a history with Radio PDs outside of country music. Big Machine is up for sell, anyhow. It's going to be in a transition stage for a while and that's worrisome...much more so than simply changing CEOs.
Cody Draco 2,531
Well, Taylor is a pop artist now. I don't see why Gaga couldn't go to Big Machine. Big Machine couldn't give her what Interscope has/will. Big Machine has nothing but Taylor Swift and some country stars. She is where the majority of their focus goes. I honestly don't understand the hate for Interscope here. They are the best major label with the best mainstream artists. Just because Gaga had sh*tty people around her, doesn't mean it's Interscope's fault. Y'all seem to forget that Gaga didn't even want Applause on ARTPOP let alone as the lead single. Interscope told her to do that, according to her. We as a fanbase should be grateful for Interscope. "Big Machine Records, LLC is an independent American record label specializing in country music artists. Big Machine is based on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee, and is distributed by Universal Music Group." "Among the artists signed to the label include Taylor Swift, whose most recent studio album, 1989, was released in October 2014.[2] Other artists include Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, and Rascal Flatts." LoveandMagic 1,731
The best thing would be when real artists who are successful like Gaga, Elton John, Marina & The Diamonds, Adele, Sting, Lana Del Rey, Zedd, Tony Bennett, Daft Punk, Lorde, Coldplay, RedOne found an own record label for themselves and new artists. That would be awesome. That would be amazing! Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
TimisaMonster 31,073
I've been saying Gaga needs to leave...they obviously don't care about supporting their artists properly and I'm sure Gaga wants to be released from her creative chains and like you said...perhaps start her own label and support other struggling artists. She's got the money and the experience to do so. After 2 more albums...I'm sure she'll be more than ready to do so. Interscope isn't what it used to be when she first started and or when Jimmy left... Gaga needs a change and for the better...not to be bought by other money hungry men who don't care about her visions for HER art...imagine BTW and ARTPOP if she had it HER way We'll never get those eras back and it's a shame they weren't treated better Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! Guest
Part of me thinks she wants to leave because other labels would promote her album campaign more efficiently, but another part of me thinks she doesn't want to leave because they're the people who took her in and made her dreams come true after she got dropped.
