Do you think Gaga's music videos might be too formulaic?

I love those scenes as much as the next person, but an edgy "epic" video without the need for choreography would be cool too.

idg I'm not huge fan of vids without dance sceene, especially in dacey songs

In her videos, I kind of wish there wasn't those choreographed scenes with all the dancing. I wish the story would be told as music plays along with breaks in between with dialogue. The dance scenes just make the video overly long for some people so they don't watch. I think a lot of people watch her videos to see the storyline, the story she has created, not a bunch of dancers.

With G.U.Y, for example, I don't really feel that dance scene towards the end was needed.

Yeah, I think with a song like Yoü and I she should had tried something different. And with Marry The Night you had so many amazing scenes and once the music starts playing you just have her dancing in a studio for the biggest part. With a song like Applause I do get that you need choreo, but it's really not necessary for each song.

In The Fame Monster era everybody always loved the choreo, but I agree that it became too predictable.

With the scenes we got from Do What You Want it does look like it doesn't have a big dance scene, so perhaps she does want to try it for a video.

About The Fame Monster, I agree to a point, but the way the dance scene was incorporated in Telephone was great, perhaps my favorite along with Alejandro. And yeah, I agree, it's kind of predictable - intro scene telling a story, break, dance along with song and then it's over.

Well we have Just Dance, Eh Eh, Beatiful Dirty Rich, EOG and I don't think Paparazzi has a big dance scene either.

Paparazzi has no big dance scene? It has a dance scene, remember Gaga in her blue puffy dress? but it's not so long like in recent videos.

Yes you're right. They always choose dance songs as singles instead of ballads, so we expect dance moves (in the chorus especially).I really like it, but it would be good if she did something different in the future.

YEP. I'd like a ballad for a single that just features Lady Gaga conveying the story of the song without all the dancers in it.
