androiduser 7,438
I'm expecting a mainstream album posing as experimental, to be honestOr mainstream, with a few borderline experimental tracks, used to justify the commercial aspect of the album, so that both the fans and Gaga can convince themselves that she's being groundbreaking and innovative. Creyk 17,805
I honestly think that with the next one she is going to do what she did with the Fame: find the genre of music which will be mainstream 6 months later and start doing songs like that, to huge success. And then when the trend arrives in it's full glory it will seem like everyone is copying her again. So her next album will be pre-mainstream in a way, she will redefine popular music once more. At least that's what I think she will do, since she is obviously trying really hard right now, as she should.

Whispering 18,865
I think it will be a mix. The thing with Gaga, is you really never know what might happen next, and that's just another reason why I'm a big fan!
Lucas 26,836
yes it will be mainstream, she tried to get a better image lately and she's working with RedOne so...
Scotty 87
I want a good old pop album, or at least some classic pop sounding songs like Paparazzi. I wouldn't mind some dancy stuff, or rock stuff either.
Delete 258
Actually, I would prefer a hybrid (no pun intended) of the two. I think the greatest example of what I want is Gaga's song "Bad Romance". It was mainstream in the sense of its relatability and catchy hook, and It was expeirmental due to the production and structure of the song. Not many pop songs have an intro that also serves as a post chorus, a hook that is as kooky and memorable as its chorus, and two bridges! It was very strange and enigmatic, but relatable and infectious. Now, don't mis-intemperate what I'm try to say. I'm not implying that I want carbon copies of "Bad Romance" on the next record. In fact, I'd prefer them be different genres altogether. I'm more or less talking about the spirit of "Bad Romance" rather its genre or subject matter. Im not gonna lie though Aura and Venus came close to hitting this, but their album versions, for me, are slightly lacking that essence and soul. They definitely shine more a live and acoustic level. Hamlet 67
I agree, EDM is basic af. Electronica is still a must for me, especially heavy industrial beats or club-bangers with a hint of EBM, acid techno samples. And hey, didn't know Hamlet was a LM! maybe I shouldn't drown in that fvcking lake and we could belong together just like ARTPOP EDM is kinda outdated in a way. We could belong together

Vernier 3,786
Mainstream. Lbr, Interscope will at least want that after the perceived ARTPOP "flop" Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn
DontDoubtDavid 1,191
Actually I expect both at the same time.I hope for this. I want her to appeal to masses, yet push musical boundaries, like she did when she first started with The Fame.
Versace 7,959
Hopefully something like TFM commercial and experimental at the same time, though i wouldn't mind a fully mainstream album like TF (in terms of it's singles and not filler tracks) .
