​Let's be honest, Gaga is still held to a pretty high standard. Look at the sales of the current pop girls, anything above 400,000 is considered a huge success. It's like the 750,000 of ARTPOP have set the tone of what now to expect for a female performer to sell. I see people talking about 100k and 200k BENCHMARKS (!!!!) when talking about Rebel Heart.

​Yes, the horrible management. But somehow, ARTPOP still managed to perform at the same level (and better, in some cases) than the usual "Pop girl" standard. ​That song (and in turn, the album), in my opinion, deservingly under performed.

​The album to me is amazing; including rejection of Hollywood ideals and criticism of American politics, alongside personal songs referencing the death of her mother - plus Mirwais' productions are amazing. Add the fantastic videos to it; especially the (uncensored) version of the title track and Die Another Day; it's by far my favourite Madonna album
