The other 98% of police officers are doing a great job and doing good things for the population I don't think all the replies are fair but that's just my opinion Well of course there are, but those 2% must be dealt with, and shouldn't be ignored/given a pass because of their uniform (not insinuating that you are saying this, btw). Forever, honestly. But especially after Ferguson, people are wising up and recording these people doing these horrible things. I think the whole Mike Brown thing has definitely made these events hyper-visible to everyone, despite them happening since the beginning of time. Now you've got plenty of footage surfacing. I'm glad this guy videotaped it because they would protect this animal if there was no proof. not really, with proof or without it it'd be the same. Media is just focusing more on it, last year more than 500+ unarmed black people were shot by in America in comparison to roughly 30+ unarmed white people. JDi 1,495 Posted April 8, 2015 Share Posted April 8, 2015 as me being mixed this scares and its sad that my parents had to tell me to be respectful to cops and never smart off to them... no one is going to kill you because of your race. there's plenty of cases where unarmed white people get shot for resisting arrest. it just SO happens that blacks commit more crimes and then resist arrest, try to run or simply act stupid more often. that's when they get killed "without reason". there is no reason in the mind of a police officer in such situations. they are just as human as the criminals are. they DO need to react and and they DO make mistakes. see, human. they don't see a black person and go like "so this one, if he acts stupid, gets killed". realistically, a police officer must be praying not anyone they have to arrest will act stupid so they don't have to make such play-god decisions. give them a break. the whole "I'm black and I live in fear" propaganda seems to really have its effect on you. what a load of crap, some 30-year-old man crying "how do I tell my son it's not safe for him on the streets", really meaning "how do I tell my son breaking the law, getting arrested and acting like a big shot is not safe for him". don't do those and you'll be just fine.
