Now that we're in 2015...

good songs : Aura, Venus, G.U.Y, Do What You Want, ARTPOP, Swine, Applause. The whole album isn't cohesive enough, too much difference between the songs...

really not the sound I thought the album would have (I guess listening to fake leaks made me want the album to have the same sound but it didn't at all)...

The album would be more enjoyable as a "visual album", I think a lot of the power of ARTPOP would be in the amazing music videos that Gaga could do for the songs and even maybe a big movie... and the performances, but they were kinda meh except a few...

An album that could be amazing if well executed, but not well executed so...

I love the album and the message of the era more than anything Gaga has ever done. The ARTPOP philosophy is so beautiful and underrated. It's a shame all this magnificence was overshadowed by messy management.

I loved ARTPOP so much, and it had a major impact on me. The fashion was her craziest ever, and I loved it. Loved all of the collaborations except Xtina. The tour was phenomenal. The music was her best to date. She definitely went through a lot personally so I feel bad saying how much I loved the era when I know she was in a tough place, but she grew so much over the course of the era.

I think the thing that I love the most about ARTPOP is how many incredible moments and performances she gave us when literally all of the odds were against her and she was at her lowest point in popularity. She fought for her music, and it made me respect her a lot more than I already did. She still managed to shine when she was in her darkest place.

yeah I noticed that too tho she was very interactive during C2C era and promo times she even logged in LM.com few times last year around the C2C release .... and now I miss all those Q&As on twitter etc that happened during the beginning of the ARTPOP era :cryga:

Tbh it's our own damn fault. Gaga was probably lurking on GGD and thought "If I see another 'Mess' in another ARTPOP related thread, I'm gonna abandon those f*ckers for good"

or before she even started the era in early 2013 so u know she find someone new and build new plan and not run with the wind like she did in Q4 of 2013 :proud:

This too!!   :applause:

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

i loved it, but the messy management ruined it for a lot of people, not me but a lot of people.

the only few things that could've made it better for me was; the original theme, G.U.Y promoted WW & MANiCURE/Sex Dreams single releases like she wanted.

I loved the concept we got tho, those who still don't understand are just plain ignoring it tbh & i enjoyed the music more than the success for once

I remember my only meltdown during the ARTPOP era was when she announced that DWUW will be the 2nd single instead of Venus

in that thread I posted like every page saying what mistake that was etcetcetc

and then the next day when I was calm I thought to myself how stupid I was for whinning about such a stupid thing instead of focusing on enjoying the new music etc. and ever since I hadn;t have any meltdown or cared much about any 'mess' that happened  and truly it was 1000x times better when u focus on the music instead constantly caring about what or how they should have handled the era or do some things better or not etc.

It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

It just felt like a wasted opportunity. I appreciate the intention & the effort, however, i'm not a fan of the final delivery, overal a disappointment... musically and era wise.

She said in 1 of her interviews for the album “It’s my intention for you to have a really good time” and so I did, despite the mess and that's what matters for me at the end of the day.

This! All in all it was an amazing time and the tour was so great.

i loved what the era was up until it actually started, or at least up until near album release. she seemed like she had such a clear idea of what she wanted to do with ARTPOP, especially with all the inventions.

I think it is a shame it didn't realize it's full potential (as an era). She seems to really like the album (as do a lot of her fans) and had a lot of fun themes to work with. Had the era not been so messy, I think she could have had another very lucrative era going for her. Everyone seems to agree that the tour was amazing, a decent video of DWUW would have probably brought the song to top 5, and that momentum probably would have built to give G.U.Y a good run (the music video at least seems popular). It seemed she half heartedly released Venus though, so I don't know if she would have released it with proper management and all (I would have still liked a proper video for it). I think the numbers would have been very good in terms of album sales, she would have had at least two top five singles (maybe a top ten with G.U.Y under different conditions). As it was, it seems (to me) that she had one very definite idea going for the era originally, and then it somehow went to pieces and she had to improvise.

But it is what it is. I think the album is decent, The videos we got were good, the album sold well despite the blackout etc, and people are still raving about the tour. It was a success I feel despite the mess and I think later Monsters will look back more fondly at the album. I also think she has learned hard about the mistakes she has made which is why Cheek to Cheek went so smoothly and did extremely well for a Jazz album of standards. The one thing I really like is that Gaga stands by her work.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

I feel like TFM and BTW were just much memorable albums and tours.

ARTPOP was fun and great, the music and the album... but that was it.. unfortunately.
