craig 680
If Adele was black and American like Chris Brown, the Grammies might have put her in R&B category.
Bloody Mary 12
Which of those categories would Gaga still dominate if Adele had been counted in the OP? Maybe Google searches and social media?

Harry 26,836
What "pop" actually means is debatable. It is "popular", but if a heavy metal band slayed everyone like Adele this year would you be asking where they were? Pop is basically it's own genre now, the likes of Britney, Gaga, Katy wouldn't fall under any other category than "pop" but Adele's music would fall under soul, which is still a form of pop music. But so is hip-hop, rock etc... That's why she isn't considered a "pop girl" like the rest in this list. But we don't need this to tell us she was on top anyway... It's a good thing because it shows how well she really did to the people who b---h about her apparently flopping. If Adele wasn't in the picture Gaga would still be on top, and she's still reigning in pop music.

Gagaloo911 12,959
Pop is also a genre. And is it necessary to put Adele on the list? We all know she slayed the music industry Pretty much this. Adele's music is NOT pop, contrary to the Grammy's awarding her for Best Pop Album/Solo Performance. They just did that to allow her to own the night tbh. She shouldn't be in the same categories as actual Pop artists for Pop music categories. Thus, she wasn't included here. That's it. What "pop" actually means is debatable. Azelf550 989
then why did she win the grammy for best Pop album? and Someone Like You won best Pop Solo Performance? pop music is whatever is popular. Adele was quite popular this year. She owned all the "pop" artists in 2011 & she still is right now. You're such a :troll:

FameKnight 0
For the most popular social media person difinety goes to Lady Gaga! I think the album category should go to Gaga as she has stirred up way more controversy and excitement than Beyonce...
