Kacey Elizabeth 900
Holly crap. I had always thought that Born This Way had a better score than The Fame Monster Born This Way's score was 71%. Your Candy Perfume Girl
Fiona Apple 13,006
That means: Critical Acclaim AND Commercial Success Nah.. Critical Acclaim is also bling
Gagy 419
I am here for something that pleases us (little monsters). But I wont be mad if she will get commercial. Her personality is turning me on. :kinky:
GoldenNovember 472
On a more serious note, commercial success means more money, and that's what record labels want. So of course they will always prefer commercial success ofer critical acclaim, I guess. Also, I noticed that successful music is often ranked higher amongst critics, so the success may have an impact on how people perceive the music. It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.
Pure Adrenaline 1,518
I don't think you guys understand. The question is about which is more important to you. Not if you'd like both, then would you take both? oh ... then NEITHER I would prefer a album which Gaga genuinely love and made not for the critics or for the charts but because of her love for music It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

HighwayGuy 1,498
I am NOT here for an album that random critics adore but the majority of people don't Commerical success is more important if you want to be remembered You could be a nobody with an album that critics adore but if noone's interested and noone buys it, then who will talk about it in the future? GoldenNovember 472
I didn't ask when THEY prefer.I asked what do you prefer Personally, I don't really care. If I like the music I can cope with bad reviews or even bad sales numbers. It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

Although the album had it's flaws, if ARTPOP opened with 800 K+ or something like that, it wouldn't have received so much negativity
