Yawn. This is obviously a bait, and you guys are taking it one after another.

It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

Katy has two self written tracks (Thinking of You, Mannequin) on her debut album (One Of The Boys), those are the only self written tracks on all of her albums, others tracks' writing credits are shared with the producers. Gaga has two self written tracks (Speechless, You & I) on all of her albums, and just like Katy all the other tracks' writing credits are shared with the producers. I would say Katy and Gaga are both similar song writers, where they create songs together with the producers. So the tweet in the OP obviously isn't true.

Gaga is not using professional lyricists.

You said "Where's 1Ds Grammys?" They don't have grammys because they don't deserve any

I said that because the user is a 1D fan and was belittling Katy for her lack of Grammys. Idc about 1D and my point wasn't to diss them.

I don't have a problem with Katy getting songwriting credit where it's due. Good for her for penning some very likable and popular songs, but can we stop with this fan warring? Some people don't like Katy. That's fine, not every Gaga fan is "pressed" or a Nazi for the actions of a few or for even making a criticism, so let's stop the constant bashing of Gaga and her fans (like I couldn't go to a Katy fan site and see Gaga and Taylor/Monsters and Swifties ripped to shreds there by dozens of Katy Kats :usrs:). As for Katy, there are certain trolls on here that are making a bad name for the lot of us. They need to stop instigating and let Katy fans enjoy her music, tours, accomplishments, and videos, etc, (and not just Katy).

Katy and Gaga are two completely different artists. Let's stop comparing the two and try to "one up" each other. People can criticize both, but let's be respectful. This should be a fun place to hang out. Everyone has different tastes and standards. I'm tired of the trolling here and on twitter. We are all (Monsters and Katy Kats) better than that.

And I am not trying at all to attack the OP here, I just think things snowball too easily downhill. Let's not make this like every other fan forum on the internet.

She's such a great lyricist: "do you ever feel like a plastic bag?"

Every track on The Fame was co-written, although Katy single handedly wrote 6/10 tracks on her first album, Katy Hudson.

Gaga gives EVERYONE credis, just to be clear about that...

Yes, it's like comparing apples and oranges.

I'd just like to add that based on what Gaga + producers she's worked with have said in the past, it's safe to assume that the vast majority of lyrics from Gaga's "cowritten" songs are hers & that she doesn't receive much outside input in that area, even when others are credited.

A cowritten song doesn't mean it's 50/50, so the same (or the opposite) could very well be true for Katy, but I don't follow up on her so I can't say much. That's why it annoys me when this is made out to be a competition based on songwriting credits.

Regardless, I have faith in Gaga's artistic integrity because she has proven it to us, and that's all that matters to me in the end.

Anyway ... isn't Katy's 'debut' supposed to be evangelical style pony?

Not hard to 'single handedly' shove that stuff out!
