Sia Daily 2,045
She doesn't perform Frozen very much either. Well not in the last ten years, and I have to say I've always been slightly underwhelmed by the live performances of it, but that's probably because the album/studio version is just too godly. She performed it at the second leg of the S+S tour
lego 44,165
I remember watching San Remo in '98. This performance was one of my favourites. FreePalestine
Kayla 7,595
Frozen used to be one of my favorite songs and I still love the hell out of it. And I totally agree about Hung Up- that song sounds ****ing amazing. Maybe I'm just nostalgic (I do tend to favor the firsts and pasts of things), but one of the biggest reasons I've been turned off from Madonna the past decade is because it feels like she keeps trying to make waves with music and an image that attempts to do so by latching on to newer artists more than putting out hits that are of the same caliber as her previous work. I used to jam to Madonna CDs in my bedroom, now I'm like "Madonna wtf i loved you "
craig 680
Ray Of Light, Music, Confessions are her best most mature works That's the best of 2nd era Madonna. There is another era of fans who think everything up to 1990 was Immaculate. Problem is Madonna got tired of being "mature" after awhile. That was the new Kabbalah convert, new mother, and married lady who rode horses on her English estate. After her divorce she turned angry and a bit bitter, she wanted to be immature again. Collab with her daughter's fave rappers, be a shady rival to the new girl in pop, have a mid-life crisis.
dlioncourt91 765
When you can afford a songwriting team like she can... I mean, when you write songs like she does Then it's surprising she hasn't had more genius moments like The Power of Goodbye and Frozen. Oh please. She's always writing things down in her notebooks she carries with her to the studio. All of her collaborators have said how often she writes when they come up with music and how actively involved she is in the creative process. LoveandMagic 1,731
I don't know if Madonna is trying to be trendy or not (I often go back and forth on this). I think she may feel enormous pressure to prove herself as a vibrant performer because a lot of her most vocal critics are constantly throwing her age in her face and talking about her like she is a has been. But Madonna's legacy is sealed, in my opinion. I don't think she should retire because she clearly loves what she is doing, but I hope she is making the music she is making because she is inspired and/or having fun, and not from any drive of competitiveness with the younger set. I would love for another Ray of Light type of album, and hopefully she will find her muse at some point and put out something really different and crazy cool. But as Madonna, she shouldn't feel any pressure to have to win over the 15-21 year old set. Who cares? She is financially stable, does very well touring, and has a die hard fan base. This is when she should be at her most relaxed and creative. She has 100% control of her career at this point. If I were her, I would be having a whole lot of fun right now travelling the world and exploring all the different types of music and art it has to offer. I definitely think she has it in her to create at least one more really great album. Though she may be perfectly satisfied right now. She and her fans really seem to like Rebel Heart. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
MonsterOfSpain 8,279
She actually said Bitch I'm Madonna was her favorite song from her entire catalog, but I'm pretty sure she said it jokingly tbh.
Jjang 2,262
She was amazing (musically speaking) until 2012. Hard Candy was her last good album.
Swan Heart 7,382
Well, ya duh, she was the Madonna.. And now.. It's so tragic to watch what she's become.. Though some part of me kinda enjoys the embarrassment... They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.
