ughm what Madonna needs is to understand that no matter how much she denies it or how healthy and energetic she is ...... she's still woman in her late 50s. And if she wants to maintain her legacy she has to drop the 20 year old slutty attitude of hers. Stop trying to be edgy and trying to promote s-x when no one asked u to AND no one will look at almost 60 years old woman as something hot or s-xy ..... unless that person isn't in his 60s himself.

Cut those fishnets and loose tights, stop dressing like homeless old stripper and record more songs like Ghosttown, Joan Of Arc etc.

What Madonna needs is reinvention because ever since Ray Of Light she has almost the same image going on, and if it worked back then, it wont work 2 decades later too :proud:

Madonna first prooved that you don't need THE voice to become successful. :ohwell:

There are many factors except having a good voice to be an entertainer.

Unfortunately though. The music industry is now flooded with people who don't have THE voice or barely any voice.

The most common images from Music, AL and COADF aren't in any way similar to Ray of Light's :koons: Unless you mean the consistent progression from ROL to AL but that's a positive more than anything.

From MDNA onwards though :madge:

Some people on this forum......realllly?......you just don't get it.  Madonna will be turning 57 in August.  Over 30 years in the business.  EVERY artist will have a PEAK.  Its like with life.....comes death.  You can choose to enjoy the music she makes now or forever criticize the fact that it wasn't better then like a prayer or didn't sell as many copies as True Blue or She failed to go number 1 in every country.  This is the reality for every artist in the world....the trajectory of having a career in the music business.  You need to get OVER IT.  Some people are just addicted to the hate or living in the past.  Newsflash she will never sell as many albulms as she once did.  Welcome to reality.  Madonna has proved that she is indeed the queen of pop forever.....never to be out done.  There is nothing she can do to ruin her reputation.  There will always be people who don't like what she's doing but thats ALWAYS the way its been with Madonna.

And now in the series: "Being obsessed with charts, numbers and record sales is a f*cking travesty and you should go find another hobby that is less toxic": This thread. :koons:

I meant that act of hers that she isn't too old to sell s-x, like there was one old interview in her early years where she said that in 30 years she will still want to be provocative and s-xy .... I think she is trying to proove/stand up to that/ show that to people buut it's just not working anymore.

COTDF for me was her last album where she succeeded in mixing dance/up beat songs with s-x appeal.

Right now I think she is in state of her career  and life where she truly have to show herself as an artist without trying to stay relevant by acting young or collabing with the hottest artist out there

jazz album with Tony Bennett

oh no sorry she hasn't the good voice

I hate when fans come here and try to drag an artist and don't know what the **** they're talking about.  She ALREADY DID JAZZ. And without Tony Bennett.

Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko

To continue my thoughts: I don't mean to say that in thinking for any chart success or anything I'm just talking about Madonna maintianing her legacy because with each album for the last decade she is just looking phatethic imo. Like in GPs eyes she looks that she is afraid of admitting that she is old and wants to stay young. That's almost what every article has said after she does something 'provocative' these days, even after her fall that got her some positive attention there were still magazines and bloggers that mocked her for that .... like there was one person, I can't recall his name, that said sth like "That was God's say that Madonna should stop acting young'' in regarts of her fall.

Right now she has that resources and is at point of her life where she doesn't need to carry about the chart. Why don't go and direct another movie, or star in one. Release some ballads album ...... like do something appropriate for ur age. Get press attention with stuff like that and in the end u are Madonna peeople will always want to see u live and they will want to hear the hits. Every now and then when u realease some acoustic album or album full with mid-tempo more mature songs u could still tour and dance and stuff. Just do it right.

Can't listen to some people with that "tour & money" card. It's not only about the money. Especially when Madonna is the richest musician. She wants to be relevant again but she fails. And you can tell that from her desperate actions to be on the spot. I hope she will find her way to live an artist's life not the #1 girl's. Because she isn't anymore.

What desperate actions? :toofunny: inb4 her fall at the BRITs

People still don't get it.....From the moment she rolled around the stage in like a virgin, people called her pathetic and desperate.  They criticized her for just trying to shock and cause controversy with like a prayer and burning crosses.  She was called a talentless W***e and crucified by the press during the s-x book era.  She doesn't have any shame and isn't going to start now!  She gives no F**KS......that is her gig.  If you are only in your 20's I don't really expect you to get it because you really weren't around to experience the impact at the time.

People seem to forget that she has a 33 years career and she only starts now to get lower album numbers. Yes Rebel Heart under performs compared to her other works, but she still able to sell half a million of copies in 3 weeks and be #1 in over 15 countries. Name me one artist in its 50's and a 30+ years career that can sell this amount of copies and get a #1 album over the world especially in the pop industry. You can all try to say it's a flop, yes it is if you compare with other artists, but if you take in consideration her background it's far from a flop. She has the ultimate dream career, 30 years of high success, it's never seen all artists combined.

Bad Bromance

Madonna needs to hunker down with one or two major collaborators like she used to do,

One problem, if you were a really creative producer, would you want to lavish an album worth of your best material on a 59-60 year old (next era) that radio won't play and young music buyers aren't into?

Rather than looking back to Ray of Light, she need to look at tricks that singers 55 plus use to sell albums.

This, tbh!!!

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

You know guys, sometimes things can be pretty simple: if the album's good, people will buy it. End of story. You can't weep over an album's sales and pray for it to work if the music is far from good in the first place. And the thing is: Rebel Heart is, to me, her weakest album ever. I've been a huge Madonna fan for 15 years now, I've bought Rebel Heart, and I've wanted to love it, really. But the thing is: it just sounds like a collection of fillers. The songs don't deliver any message. They don't make sense with each other.

I hope she finally realizes that she can't rely solely on her name anymore to sell. Getting associated with every hot artist and the most successful DJs of the moment isn't what makes the music good, and I wholeheartedly hope she finally realizes it. She needs to lock herself up in the studio with ONE producer, take her time and talk about actual subjects. If she keeps doing what she's been doing for the 5 past years, she'll just destroy her legacy, I'm sure of it and it truly pains me.
