Let's appreciate one of Gaga's most iconic styles in writing lyrics

Ok, let's get this straight - it's a hook. It's a simple hook designed to get stuck in your head. Bad Romance did it best, obviously, because it's iconic.

Her true talent comes in the way these hooks can give you the atmospheric feeling of being on a spinning merry-go-round at 100mph between every chorus and verse. It's got this effect of "oh crap, here we come back around again, this is a rush!". That's the real secret to making it go from good to great.

That quote is incorrect. Nobody said anything about interpreting meaning, the use of the word "interpret" in this instance ("I feel like no one can interpret repetitive lyrics as good as Gaga") can be interchanged with words like  "transcribe".
Of course I am aware that repetitive lyrics are not the only way to create a catchy song, but it is one of the most effective techniques. I think you are simply wrong about such writing being lazy or uninspired. If it is done with a specific intention (in the case of pokerface to create a memorable, unique and catchy hook that doubles as a metaphor) it can be quite effective.

The video was an attempt to make my point about overseas success, something that I think was a clear objective of Gaga during "The Fame" era. All of her early singles (Just Dance - Judas) repeat the song title enough times so as to penetrate the language barrier. On her first five singles, she sings the song’s title 18, 30, 34, nine, and 36 times, respectively.

Her ability to reach overseas markets with great success and as an up-and-coming artist was partly because her songs were catchy and repetitive enough to be successful in non-english speaking countries.

I don't particularly want Gaga to continue with the same pattern on song writing, if anything I would prefer her to go to the opposite spectrum and write something extremely unconventional and free from radio expectations. I do think her use of repetition was smart though, and as an artist who claimed to use pop music as her canvas I think she achieved her goal in a spectacular fashion.

It was Gaga herself who praised the qualities of pop music, over other genres, for it's ability to reach a huge audience and bring them together.
