Before we had the internet you could actually go into the record store and preview the entire record with some headphones on. That was always so much fun. Now with social media artists can do so many cool things to promote their music. I don't think there is no right or wrong way to do it.

Well she's already changed her mind about lots of things she said in the past, maybe she would now. I do agree with her about focusing on the whole album only for a brief moment, but for ARTPOP (and maybe BTW) she released lots of snippets and material leaving almost nothing new to hear on the album for the first time

I get what shes saying, I don't entirely disagree. At the same time, I think what Beyonce and U2 did were experiments in (what even Gaga referred to as) "the wild west" that is the current state of the music industry. Its artists trying to find new ways to release music and see what works and what doesn't (and clearly U2's strategy backfired, hopefully no one tries that again). I see what shes saying, I don't think its invalid, she just has her own philosophy.

Gaga is always looking to differentiate herself from her peers, so an unexpected release from her would be expected. So people would be like "she's trying too hard to be unconventional and weird" or some **** like that. What was so great about BEYONCE and what made it work, besides the fact that people had been thirsting real extremely hard for MONTHS and there were so many rumors and supposed insider info, is that people were not expecting her to do that at all. Even if she has balls, she wasn't the type of artist that had that much balls.

So I guess that if Gaga were to do it, I would say the album would have an U2 Songs of Innocence total backfire

I would rather she release it all at once. Other than the 1st single I always try to avoid listening to the whole album from start to finish when it's released. I like the anticipation and the experience of hearing it all at the same time. I think when too much of an album is heard before people already start making up their minds and there isn't much of a surprise.

At the same time I wouldn't want her to just release it out of nowhere. Again, I like the anticipation, as long as it's not too long of a wait.

I think surprise release would be better for Gaga only to prevent leaks and to avoid certain popstars rushing their album for competition.

​Taylor is not really "Hollywood".  He's from Pennsylvania and when Gaga met him he was a relative nobody (i.e. before Chicago Fire or any movies).
