6$ for a water bottle? http://gagadaily.com/uploads/monthly_2015_03/lmao.gif.cceae976b88e2f28f377044f54757226.gif He's crazy. It's like 1,50$ here.

Although, I do buy bottled water because I don't like the taste of tap water even though its safe to drink it here.

He shouldn't be comparing water to music though :rip:

The most I've paid for a bottle a water is $2.50 at Starbucks. Never $6

maybe Jay-Z shouldnt compare Music to water... considering we absolutely need water to survive. Paying 1 dollar for water vs paying for music? nah i'll download music and continue to download music for free / stream it on spotify. if they're gonna make it harder to get their music. it will find a way to become available for free.

Jay-Z is unrealistic and money hungry.

Music IS free! You can live without it. You can't live without water. But some people with an extra chromosome think that music is more important than water. Just no, bye

By the time you reach the end of this sentence, it'll be too late to realize I just wasted your time with a pointless sig.

Comparisons like this really don't help to make Tidal sound the least bit credible. Saying that it's ridiculous to pay for water, when we need water to survive and in some countries, tap water is unfit for consumption...and exaggerating how much bottled water costs into the bargain...This is clearly someone who is on a different planet in regards to the value of money. That a--logy that the Twitter user came up with was so apt: "Jay Z clearly doesn't know how much things cost. If you asked him for money for a banana, he'd probably give you $40." A celebrity who only uses the most expensive brands of everything, is used to freebies and $1 million is loose change to them will not understand what it's like living as the average Joe and what disposible income is all about. Take away all the things the average person has to pay for in a month (tax, bills, food, petrol, travel expenses) and they barely have enough left for anything, least of all music. And now he wants to add another $20 for music on top of all their other monthly expenses? Despite the same service already being offered for $10 and free (legally) elsewhere?

Try this on for size, Jay: I got 99 ways to listen to music and Tidal ain't one.

Well the tap water here is the healthiest in the world so why should I bother buying bottles of water? And a bottle isn't much more then 1.50 euro here so yeah :bye:

Comparing water to music. Tragic.

He exaggerated, sure, but I don't see the inaccuracy in what he's saying. People pay for something that you can get for free but don't pay for something that shouldn't be free. He's right default_ohwell2.gif

Also a bottle of 1,5L of Fiji Water costs more than 5 dollars with shipping, so what he said wasn't far fetched

who buys that ****!! seriously?? THAT EXPENSIVE, he is delusional

If artists want people to buy their albums, then make a good quality album. I'm not going to buy a song that I like for 1 day, but then I get tired of because of it's generic repetitive beat and blahblah.

I don't care what he says, he just wants to get more money into his pocket like he didn't have enough. I'll continue using Spotify :bye:

The thing is, you really shouldn't make music because of money. That's what makes music beautiful, it's purity of expression. Sure it is a business now, but just imagine if the industry wasn't multi-billion. There would be more genuine artists and songs. The fake and manufactured will cease to exist because there will be no money to be had. Then, if people really want the music from an act, that's when monetizing comes in. WE BUY WHAT WE LIKE. It's wrong to charge us up front for music that we don't love. I would like to go back to the previous music systems in the past. The artists only get money because they have fans who enjoy their music and not because it's a requirement to pay before you can listen. :miley:

Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

I get his point, I really do, but where the f^^k is tap water FREE?! This makes his whole point invalid. I really don't feel sorry for him especially when his net worth is $520,000,000
