I dont think so

Judas was a hit in my country and here the people are super religious.  I think it was the whole BTW look what shocked the GP

No.

people are so wrong with this... the hate started on the VMAs 2010 night. And not because of the dress, guys it is life, when something/someone becomes so succesful (and that has only happened to Gaga for A VERY LONG time). That's where the hate came from, so it would still have been there.

Judas should never have been a single. PERIOD

TEOG was the perfect second single imo as proven by its massive downloads and instant appeal over Judas, which faded into oblivion.

She really killed the era with that misstep and as a result her image suffered.

Judas was the biggest mistake of her career imo. it's a helluva of a GREAT song like everything on the album but it should have stayed in the fanbase.

Alejandro, meat dress, LGBT speeches, the BTW look and weirdness did way more damage with the GP than a single song. The 99 cent deal and the Madonna silliness, which was blown way out of proportion by the media, also added to the overall negativity.

All of this was before Judas. Judas was just the icing on the messy cake that was already falling apart.

I couldn't care less about what GP thinks of her. Tbh no mistakes were made in making Judas a single. Both the song and video are iconic.

Judas didn't change anything. The Alejandro video was way more offensive and she was at her peak after that.

I guess she was doomed since she released Born This Way (single) , stated many times that Born This Way is an album for gays or something like that + overexposing her weird style until people got tired of that image

Tbh she shot herself in the foot with the album. She wasn't stable as  superstar by then to put that album out.

Although they should've had listening groups rate the tracks before release to get the singles.

It is obvious what should've played out for less damages. ARTPOP bore the backlash brunt.

actually I think alot of the GP loved Judas. It leaked and stilll got decent radio play and charted top ten for a few weeks. Alot of my friends find Judas to be one of her coolest songs and they aren't Gaga fans. I think You and I and Marry The Night is where it began to go downhill. Even The Edge of Glory, although #3, should have been the era ender. "Marry The Night" is my favorite song but not really a strong single, and "You and I" is brilliant but people just didn't relate it to Gaga really.

The singles should have been "Born This Way", "Scheibe", "Bloody Mary",  "Judas", and ended with "The Edge of Glory"

The music video for Judas made me find Judas/start liking Gaga so it should be a single no matter what. :madge:
