White House chief of staff: 50 years of Israeli occupation must end

I think it's good as long terrorist groups like Hamas are in there. Palestine doesn't aim for peace.

Do you know of the geography of Palestine though :air: The settlements are mainly in West Bank; although I guess the illegal blockade of Gaza also counts as "occupation"

Should a country be allowed to take over land of another in order to protect their own people; especially when its leading to suffering of innocent Palestinians at the hands of these settlers - it's an odd double standard and as seen by the Russian takeover of Crimea; is definitely not seen as acceptable by European governments.

What kind of an odd comparison. Palestinians attack  innocent Israelis constantly ,planning terrorist attacks etc. No thanks. I don't need region like that.

It's not an odd comparison at all; both are regarded as being occupied by foreign forces; Crimea by Russia and (parts of) Palestine by Israel. Of course; there are Palestinian terrorists and their actions can't be condoned whatsoever; but that does not allow Israel to take its own action to the extent of almost encouraging the suffering of Palestinians who have not done anything wrong apart from being born in a conflict torn region. Multiple people have brought it up that your generalisations are plain wrong in that you categorise the entire Palestinian people as being wrongdoers in any way - the vast majority of them are not terrorists and are not hateful. To think that of a nation and to generalise it to that extent; using that generalisation to justify disregard of international law, sovereignty and encourage discrimination is just absurd.

Don't try to say that I'm a racist or stuff. It's the terrorism in Palestine fault that they are in that miserable mess rn. Israel wants peace, Palestine doesn't.

75% of Palestinians do not think that Israel has the right to exist.

Seventy-two percent backed denying the thousands of years of Jewish history in Jerusalem, 62% supported kidnapping IDF soldiers and holding them hostage, and 53% were in favor or teaching songs about hating Jews in Palestinian schools.

Does that really sounds peaceful? Tell me please.

Ignoring that your statistics have no source at the moment; or the potential for a biased survey or whatever. That still leaves; 28%, 38% and 47% of people who don't agree with those things (all of which are awful of course) - so even using that statistic to generalise is wrong.

I'm sorry hmm, but.... :fail:

I don't get it :air:

"Seventy-two percent backed denying the thousands of years of Jewish history in Jerusalem, 62% supported kidnapping IDF soldiers and holding them hostage, and 53% were in favor or teaching songs about hating Jews in Palestinian schools.

When given a quote from the Hamas Charter about the need for battalions from the Arab and Islamic world to defeat the Jews, 80% agreed. Seventy-three percent agreed with a quote from the charter (and a hadith, or tradition ascribed to the prophet Muhammad) about the need to kill Jews hiding behind stones and trees."

I posted the source above.

But it's still a majority. And that majority is wrong.

You don't get it ? Don't even try to gang up.

"The survey’s more positive findings included that only 22% supported firing rockets at Israeli cities and citizens and that two-thirds preferred diplomatic engagement over violent “resistance.”

Among Palestinians in general 65% preferred talks and 20% violence. In the West Bank it was 69-28%, and in Gaza, 59- 32%."

"When asked what Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s top priorities should be, 83% said creating jobs."

In this instance (same article you posted); the majority support diplomacy over violence and prefer their leader to focus on day-to-day issues such as jobs rather than greater political goals. Nonetheless; "what I don't get" is the need to generalise in any situation.

And still 73% want to kill Jews. What kind of a paradox of them.

Israel wants peace, yet Netanyahu says if you elect me, there will be no Palestinian state.

Is it ok if Arab candidate says, if you elect me there will be no Israeli/Jewish state?

Hamas didn't exist before the 80s, what was the excuse for occupation and illegal settlements then? The bible?

Hamas offered 10 years truce with reasonable conditions, Israel is not interested. Israel does not want peace.

And those stupid statistics are all biased. You did not go and ask each person in Gaza and West Bank what they think. You are trying to generalize and dehumanize them.

There was #AskHamas campaign on twitter, few official spokespeople replied, when they say "Jews" they mean Zionists and those who want to occupy their land and kill their people. It's all about the context.
