Bradley 59,063 Posted March 21, 2015 Share Posted March 21, 2015 I know there's a strong debate on whether her next album is LG5 OR LG6, but it's 6 to me so I'm going to call the one after it LG7, but that's not the aim of this thread, the question is: will you be here and give ARTPOP another chance to shine? The Fame, The Fame Monster and Born This Way were complete, the only album that she hasn't given us all, is ARTPOP. There's literally another one hour or more of music that we haven't heard yet. If her singles G.U.Y. and Do What U Want didn't turn out to be huge messes, we would have gotten volume II, and also the whole concept of artRAVE would have been a different story. Cheek to Cheek would have been delayed because of MORE pop music, she might be still sticking with 5 Grammys or maybe 7/8 from the two ARTPOPs. I personally would be here for it. There are some advantages in releasing volume II, ARTPOP already has a fanbase and a reputation (I'm not saying everyone likes it but it does have fans), releasing volume II would create buzzes in the media. If you view this in the perspective of artistry, I think we ought to give Gaga another chance to fully, properly, completely present her vision of ARTPOP, she needs another chance to redefine ARTPOP. She was in the wrong hands for the first ARTPOP, she didn't even have a proper team at the most crucial time, the birth of the album. Now that she has fixed things with Bobby, things would be a different story for volume II. Some people might not have high expectations for volume II, but that's the advantage. Gaga can secretly modify and redo volume II in a better way, and present us a whole new thing which can in the same spirit but sound totally different from volume I. When she puts it out, she'll make our jaws drop. It also doesn't have to be called Act II, it can be called, ARTPOP: The True Vision or something like this, and write new songs about the experiences of how she dealt with her tough times from the first volume. She promised that she would give it to us after all, one more promise fulfilled, why not? I mean, don't you wanna hear Tea, Sire, Onion Girl, Princess Die, Temple, Ratchet, Tinitus, Partynauseous? ARTPOP could be looked upon more favourably in the future if there is more material to judge.I think ARTPOP will be looked on in a better light in the future but I would love more. And the title ARTPOP isn't new and reminds a lot of people of a era they didn't like.
