Fiona Apple 13,006
Yes generic music is simply popular music that sounds the same, Gaga DIDNT event dance music not was she the one who pushed electro-pop into the mainstream, it had been developing into the mainstream YEARS before she even made it big Gaga's early hits aren't just "electro-pop music" They are TOTALLY different than anything that was out at the moment.. And if you don't recognize it .I don't even know what to tell you..

User 352
He's a generic producer who makes generic music EVEN with Gaga tbh, Scheiße is her best song & it's still generic let's not play sistrensPop music does not automatically mean that it's generic, it's mainstream, but not necessarily generic. Mainstream for mass market but with its own touch and handwriting. Extremely generic pop music for example is Roar, Shake It Up and Scream & Shout.Gypsy from Gaga is also produced in a generic way, there is no depth in this production. A few good riffs would make wonders. Not generic pop and disco music for example is Bad Romance, Smooth Criminal, Poker Face, Relax Take It Easy, Another Bites The Dust and also Sias song for Rihanna "Diamonds" is not generic pop music like the three above.
