Even though I'm really not a Katy fan, I think she's at her peak right now. She's never been this popular before imo

And I think Gaga's peak is yet to come! I just see and know that she's the best one out there and I believe in her ability to show that to everyone else

Agree, she had million hits during teenage dream era, while tour sucked. It grossed only $59.5M with 127 shows...

She only had 2 hits from prism but her tour is grossing higher than ever for her which is more important in my opinion...

PS: I believe Gaga's first peak was The Fame Monster-Born This Way, but I also believe that she is going to go there again in the future...

For Gaga it's The Fame Monster. She was literally EVERYWHERE during that era & I honestly don't think the success of it will be touched by another artist for the next 30+ years. For Katy, it's Teenage Dream: Complete Conplection during the 1st half of 2012. All the 10-13 year old girls loved her, Part of Me debuted at number 1, the Part of Me movie came out, she got women of the year, that's when she was biggest.

I'd say Gaga's peak was from 2010-2011. So basically the TFM and BTW eras.

Katy's peak imo was when LFN went number one til PRISM. So I'd say her peak was from 2011-2013.

In saying that, Katy's peak was nowhere near the same level as Gaga. Even at her peak, Katy was still overshadowed by other artists e.g. Beyonce and Adele come to mind. In comparison, when Gaga was at her peak she literally was the TOP BITCH.

I came here to say the same thing. I just want to remind that Gaga's peak was on MJ's/Britney's/Madonna's peak level of epicness/media attention. Katy sold a lot, but the cultural and mediatic impact is not even comparable.

exactly. Gaga had world domination during her (TFM) peak while Katy had quiet buzz and raised eye brows (TD). The two are completely different acts, with different music, peaks, influences, and cultural impact.

Katy willwill remain a staple in pop music, while gaga will be a crusader in pop culture.
