Best Gaga songs for a metal fan

This topic is so much fun. Here's my list

This is a Judas remix from Ricky Tillo, her long-time guitarist. The song was inspired by her ex-boyfriends love for Judas Priest.

Here's my fave, a Judas / Painkiller mashup.

Here are some performances where Gaga gives some pretty raw and heavy vocals that you might appreciate. She definitely has more of a rock n roll sensibility when performing, she's not a straight up pop star.

What's Up - 4 Non Blonds Cover

Whole Lotta Love Cover

Gimme Shelter Duet

Sting Tribute - If I Ever Lose My Faith In You

King of Pain Duet

Another One Bites the Dust

Some of her own songs have some heavy metal and rock influences.

You can skip her monologue here

You should listen to "Judas". It's pure pop but it always sounded metal-influenced to me, but maybe that's just me.

And welcome to Gaga Daily!

Judas uses Metal harmonies in the vocals, and the melodies of the synths pretty muchb as well :legend:

Hiya Swankybeast! I'm a huge metal fan too! Somewhere around here there is a GGD Metalheads thread, let me see if I can find a link for you. It's in the Conversation Area somewhere. There are lots of us monsters who are also fans of face-melting riffs, double bass pedals, and praising the dark lord Lucifer :P (Ironically or no)

Lots of good suggestions in this thread... some not-so-good ones. (Hair? Srsly? The 13 year old girl's saccharine 80s new wave saxophone bop?) Heavy Metal Lover is the obvious one. Electric Chapel has a great riff and solo. Her ballads are Brown Eyes, Again Again, Speechless, You and I, The Queen, and Dope... there are more unreleased ballads that are also great like Honest Eyes. Though not obviously metal influenced, you might also like the avant-garde weirdness of Teeth, and if you like industrial music you will love Government Hooker, Bloody Mary, and Swine.

Some legendary metal bands such as Anthrax, KISS, and Judas Priest have praised Gaga in the past and I really hope they collaborate or do a performance together someday! Or maybe one day the metal remix tracks she used to spin with Starlight back in her gogo days will surface.

Are there any other artists you guys might recommend? If anyone is curious, my favorite artist is Tarja Turunen, and my favorite song by her is called Anteroom of death. Thanks again for the awesome responses to my question.

I love Tarja :legend: Do you listen to Lacuna Coil, Leave's Eyes, or Epica?

As for an artist that I would recommend...

Her name is St. Vincent. Her music is performance art / pop / alt-rock. She has a very soft, beautiful voice, and she often pairs it with some heavy guitar and a freaky virtuoso but also reckless style of playing. Here's one of her more pop-centric songs.

Don't forget Dance in the Dark! I'm a heavy metal lover myself and I found a lot of my older friends who rarely listen to pop really love that song.

And look for live shows. Gaga live always has sick drums, loud but groovy and tons of guitar.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

She's just amazing! One of my favorite albums of 2014! I recently bought Strange Mercy and it's perfect as well!

I love Epica, they are one of my favorites. I'm not real big on Lacuna coil, I like them but I don't listen to them often. I enjoy Leave's Eyes as well. I used to like Nightwish and Within temptation, but not so much anymore.
