​I actually would've preferred Portugal over Lithuania, Cyprus or Montenegro. At least they (alongside Switzerland and Malta) were bringing something different in terms of either song or staging.

More ballads and duets weren't really necessary  Drunk uncle twirl dancing a la Knez isn' necessary either

Couldn't agree more. Not here for duets and ballads.

​Poland probably would've got a lot of diaspora voting and I know some people have criticised the act as having a 'gimmick' but personally I think it was touching and to an extent thought provoking. The song and staging wasn't awful either

​That'd be pretty weird after the huge amount of hate they got last year  (+ Conchita winning). They have a good song this year, but I don't expect Russia to win.
