Promotion for that track's being held until awards season this winter." - Billboard the Cedric Gervais Remix of "Young and Beautiful" will be Lana Del Rey's next official radio single!" ...... Saw this on ATRL. Don't even want to think about it 1. The remix is AWFUL. 2. She's NOT a dance artist, stop marketing her as such. If you gave her actual songs promotion, they would be just as successful. I was fine with Summertime Sadness being remixed, but two in a row is overkill. Cool for her being in the charts and gaining more fans / attention etc. s'all good. Especially if she's taking a break after Tropico. I probably won't ever feel the need to listen to his remixes more than once, but Im happy for Lana. The attention her remixes get push her further out into other genres, other fanbases, other peoples musical tastes, and therefor more people are driven to check out her original albums = good.
