drinkmytears 2,332
lol why can't you people just be happy that lana's getting attention, it doesn't have to be a 'I was a fan before you were' thing lmao I agree, but I guess its a little frustrating for US fans because if she gets huge (unlikely) we will never get the chance to meet her or see her up close because its harder to do that with popular people. Sister 9,907
Lana Del Rey will have actors playing Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and Jesus in her new music video! http://t.co/TEhGWEn2E3 This has my attention! SpankMeSpock 0
What's with all the Ride love? That song is just boring... I don't hate or even strongly dislike any of her songs but Video Games and Born to Die are just

Ander_Monster 0
If she was to make a trilogy from Born To Die I would love : Lolita + Carmen + Off to the Races It starts with a spoken introduction about a woman who once had it all. In Lolita she is a succesful local actress, enjoying her fame and money partying with guys. The Lolita part shows her glamurous and scandalous life, when she is at her peak. When the song ends we see how she is offered less roles, she starts earning less money, and suddenly she finds herself alone and unemployed (with an orchestra arrangement of Carmen playing). Carmen shows her ride to hell, how she starts working as a prostitute. This part of the video is inspired by flamenco and spanish culture. Carmen ends with Lana meeting an old man, and a spoken part telling us how she "saw the light in him". The man, a super rich d--g dealer, marries her and gives her a glamurous life once again. Off to the Races part. It shows Lana's new life of glamour and wellfare. The scenes of happiness and luxury are mixed with brutal scenes that picture Lana's husband's "job". In the bridge of the song ("my old man is a thief...") the police enters in the mansion, and Lana and her husband lock themselves in the chapel. Lana is dressed in a spanish-inspired black dress, with a black mantilla. When the last chorus starts the door falls down and the two lovers are shot to death. The short film ends with a spoken outro where Lana says how she once wanted to become a star, and how that dream ended. A orchestra arrangement of Off to the Races plays in the background

dc1993 1
Ride is probably my favourite of hers after Video Games. The way Ride is produced, the galloping-build up to the chorus, the "Im tired of feeling like Im ****ing crazy" lyric, it arrived in my life at a very important time, so I can't help but love it. Been at my boyfriends house for the past 5 days trying to keep up with all the Tropico news :') the on-set photos are so intriguing, Im so excited to see Slut-Lana on screen <
Ellie Goulding 8
Does anyone not like Paradise? I really only like Ride, Cola, & Burning Desire. Even then, they aren't anywhere near as good as anything on BTD..

A orchestra arrangement of Off to the Races plays in the background except for that doesn't really follow the theme of Lolita and I feel like it's something she'd want to remain true to
Alcina Dimitrescu 1,156
The minifilm thing is actually happening? Awesome, I was starting to fear it wouldn't happen. Bel Air has became my favorite song. ----------- Excuse me, no. Though demo Yayo doesn't fit at all Paradise. With that I can agreealbum version of yayo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> demo version
