I found this review to be very insightful.

The part about The Other Woman makes me respect it more. :stalkga:

I've loved TLY since I first heard it, but I just read over the lyrics and I can really connect to what she's saying.

"I lost myself when I lost you, but I still got jazz when I get those blues...I still get trashed when I hear those tunes" It reminds me so much of what I went through, and still go through.

I've loved TLY since I first heard it, but I just read over the lyrics and I can really connect to what s. M's saying.

"I lost myself when I lost you, but I still got jazz when I get those blues...I still get trashed when I hear those tunes" It reminds me so much of what I went through, and still go through.

I feel like I've lost my identity due to losing someone so I'm in like a weird place where i don't have the blues because of him not being here but because of me not being here.

TLY makes me think of honoring a past relationship without being consumed by it. Kind of being far removed in a sense but always keeping a little candle lit inside your heart. The candle gradually grows dimmer over time, so the burn/pain becomes less and less, yet the candle never goes out 100%. The loves never dies, it just has less of an impact on your daily existence.

My interpretation is probably a mess, but I think this song shows Lana continue on the path of recovery of self. Much like West Coast and Brooklyn Baby did. :flutter:
