Meh.

I didn't like any of the songs she released so far from Ultraviolence.

Born To Die was the only album I liked.

Everything she released from there on went straight downhill.

How can you not like Ride or Body Electric?

I admire her for not trying to do BTD 2.0 and exploring a truly different direction with this record.

The lyrics are a bliss this time around.

I think Brooklyn Baby will grow on me.

So far would you guys say Ultraviolence is more in line with Lana's older stuff like AKA or material from Born to Die/Paradise.

Because I only liked 1 song from AKA and don't remember how the album sounded and don't want that to happen with Ultraviolence.

What happened to the flawless sound she had in Born to Die?  :noparty:

Not one song sounded good to me. The production and even her voice on the songs just seem... not the best.

None of these songs have the big IT sound that Born to Die had. This sounds like an album full of demos.

I was always hoping she'd go more in the direction of OTTR but she goes in the opposite way.

I was hoping for that, too. I really liked that sound from her.

I would say neither tbh

Everyone is drawing comparisons to AKA and it makes me question if people listened to it, the vocal delivery is entirely different from AKA and the production is totally different

Before someone rips this to pieces, I listen to AKA frequently so I do know what I'm talking about lol

I love it and the chorus is catchy as hell but I feel like the song would be even better if the verses were a little bit more uptempo?

and the bridge ("talkin" with the brooklyn accent and the ****ing part) could be done in a national anthem rap-sing instead of the shades of cool/Bel Air vocals. It would go straight to no1 and stay there the whole summer. Lizzie, Please  :dies:

You are so late... :toofunny:

Brooklyn Baby is tied with West Coast as 2nd best for me. Ultraviolence is #1 and if Old Money and Black Beauty turn out the way I expect them to on the album they will be tied with Ultraviolence at #1. :legend:
