I'm probably one of ldr's biggest fans etc, and I love everything I heard from Ultraviolence so far...

BUT WHY ARE PEOPLE SAYING THAT SHE'S BEING RISKY AND EXPERIMENTAL??

Everywhere on youtube etc they're saying like 'wow can't recognize her anymore.'

'Ultraviolence is so different, I won't like it.....'

All her music sounds the same (don't get me wrong, she still slays), and yes I know that maybe she's going back to her roots

But really? This isn't new at all. It's just another typical ldr album that going to slay us probably. No need to say she's doing sth totally different imo :awkney:

everything u said I could not agree more .... tho she gets lazier with every work .... not feeling this instagram filters being her official covers :awkney:

It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

I love that she dropped violins and went with guitars and drums for this album

If anything, I think her new material sounds more like her earlier work.

Of course it's experimental. And when you're experimenting, most of the time it's risky. When I first heard West Coast I was overwhelmed, but also surprised and confused at times. Now I love it.

She's swimming in new waters and exploring new sounds and genres when you compare it to the hip-hop inspired BTD/Paradise that also heavily features strings, which is less dominant in Ultraviolence (so far).

In no way does all of Lana's music sound the same. Her singing voice may be similar or recognizable in all of her songs, but no, her music does not sound the same. BTD was far more orchestral, and what we've heard from Ultraviolence so far has incorporated some soft-rock elements...

Those are her stupid teen girl fans that know like two songs, but ha, they can **** off now.

Lizzy grant is hereee

and it is experimental, in the sense of her changing her orchestral sound to more soft rock influences, PLUS IT ISNT EVEN OUT YET and we've heard two songs

Do you have a download link?

I don't, cause iTunes switched mine to the second single mix when I re-synced my music.

BUT it's on Spotify! Look for West Coast Roy Orbinson

The singles so far are still pretty different than her first album. 50s glam to laid back t shirts. Hip hop and an orchestral fusion to a more soft rock vibe. New York to California.

Obviously it still has that same Lana touch to it, but she has changed directions this album.
