For proof, see the amount of praise her Oscar performance got. With this, they will be able to see that Gaga is a true talent, and not a basic pop girl. 2. New fans. With AHS, Gaga will gain back fans she lost during BTW or ARTPOP. I think the younger/tumblr generation may appreciate her more. If she has a leading role, then it'll produce many gifs and memes, and make Gaga more relevant. Tumblr users are also obsessed with gays, and Gaga supports gays, so they'll probably remember their love for her. 3. It'll be fun. Gaga has had dark visuals for a good percentage of her career. The AHS promo video looks like it could be straight from the monster ball interlude. 4. New connections. Gaga will make new friends, possibly actors, which could lead to new career opportunities later down the line. 5. Exposure for her next album. This could keep Gaga in the limelight, until at least 2016, which would create a solid platform for her to drop an album. That it's important because there are people or fans that are not interested or don't have the time to watch all the seasons. I think it's a smart move also because this serie has a big name and already a lot of recognitions, I really hope that they're writing a great script. AHS has shown that after season 2, it has no idea how to construct competent or enticing plots, relying purely on shock and tumblr gifs. Look at Asylum, which had a clear path, characters with actual personalities and motivations that weren't written away the next episode, and still kept up the pulpy campy gore and humor to be expected after Murder House. The first thing people will talk about in class on Thursday is AHS. It will be good for Gaga to get allot of the younger generation back on her side as well. Yes, in my British literature class someone brought up AHS and suddenly the whole class got distracted and wrapped up in it. Gaga knows what she's doing.
