LoveandMagic 1,731
http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/02/26/blomkamps-alien-movie-will-ignore-alien-3-and-resurrection Thoughts? Personally I'm extremely excited. After the second movie the magic of the series washed away, it's nice to see that not only that they are rebooting it, but they are giving it a proper ending as well. And they still intend of releasing a sequel to Prometheus as well. I agree it would be better. But the cynical part of me is going to say that a big part of this decision also came from the fact that Alien 3 and Res were not big hits. Let's not forget Aliens was a total action flick with almost no horror elements period. However to ignore such a lucrative sequel would be pretty much out of the question by most studios since it will be used to hype up this new edition. Aliens didn't exactly fit in either, as Alien was more like a slasher/haunted house in space deal (which is why I love it more, even though I think Aliens was/is a wicked cool film). Still, I'm definitely looking forward to the new edition. I didn't even mind the last two, though they were definitely weaker in just about every aspect to me (though the "space prison" concept was pretty cool, though originally it was to be a "space monestary"). As for Prometheus, about sums up my opinion to that. But to each their own. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax." Riot Poof 2,236
I'm glad that this Alien movie will be horror instead of action. I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
