It's all happened to the legends before her. Madonna, Mariah, Janet, MJ, have all gone through similar "peak" and "flop" phases. It's just really common, actually.

the only difference is now "flops" are all blow out of proportion and are over exaggerated as if they're gonna magically go back to flipping burgers or waiting tables etc...
