It's hardly a new thing, though-when you say ghetto in the U.S. (and maybe in the UK too, I'm guessing), it's clear what image comes up. 

 

I guess it's a de facto/informal discrimination: there's an implicit knowledge of which neighborhood is what, and which one is sketchy, safer, etc.

Look up the genocide of Tutsis by Hutus. Those tribes may both be black, but you can still speak here of "racism". 

What about the Armenian genocide which was did by Ottomans? That one was directed against White people.

The biggest problem with Lauryn's argument is that most white "racism" as of 2015 is not "racist" in her special sense. Nowdays white hostility to other races is often just as reactive as black racism and neither need make any claim to superiority.

 

A xenophobic desire for foreigers with alien ways to stay out of your neighbourhood makes no claim to superiority, and works the same for both races. A European can hate Moslims for reactive reasons, because they conquered his country historically (Serbia, Greece) or because some of them hate us (Jews, gays, women in western dress in their area).
