Pitch 204 Posted February 19, 2015 Share Posted February 19, 2015 Some parts I agree with some parts I disagree with, it's kinda weird they're comparing her to Madonna when taking into consideration Erotica flopped even harder than ARTPOP, it's not the ability to stay successful that leads to a long career as every singer will flop eventually, it's the ability to comeback and prove everyone wrong, Madonna had this ability and managed to comeback time and time again (Take A Bow, Ray Of Light, Hung Up, 4 Minutes etc) hence why she is know as the Queen of reinvention. We'll see if Gaga has this ability with the next album. Arguably ARTPOP did not do as well as her previous albums (but it sure as hell was not the catastrophical commercial failure you guys and the media paint it to be), and appearently they did not look beyond the sh*tshow of a "newspaper" they run because Gaga's engagement was literally plastered all over TV and the Internet. And yet three #1 albums, two huge ww tours, countless magazine covers, interviews and performances, a Grammy award and a highly anticipated next album in the works, that's not even announced yet she's still here. And she's still being called the biggest star in the world and Queen of pop by many news outlets. There are paparazzi everywhere she goes and she still have huge online relevance and following. At the end of the day people will remember the talent and passion of musicians, Gaga has proven this countless times, goodbye to all this comparing other female pop stars, each of them are different.
