The partnership will bow in May with a 5-song compilation EP called The Eephus, including tracks from rapper Jidenna (whose "Classic Man" hits radio Feb. 16), Roman, St. Beauty, Deep Cotton and Monae herself. The artists appear on each other's tracks, and they and the label staff have worked together under the Wondaland umbrella for years. Moore -- former chief of staff for Congresswoman Maxine Waters -- met Monae at Morehouse College in Atlanta a dozen years ago. He introduced her to his classmates Chuck Lightning and Nate Wonder, who went on to become Monae collaborators Deep Cotton. Isis from St. Beauty was one of Monae's backing singers; Roman wrote the overtures on her albums The ArchAndroid and The Electric Lady.

I wish there was just going to be a Janelle Monae studio album but this will help her name get more traction hopefully if it sells well. I met her she is a doll she deserves to be more famous than these girls who have almost no input in their own careers.

She's incredible live, her stage presence is unbelievable

In regard to her third LP, she said it would drop when it would be least expected

if the other artists on this EP are just as good as her, this will be amazing. she seems like a true artist and a really amazing person.

also, I hope she drops her follow up to The Electric Lady soon!

Janelle is one of the most amazing artists to have ever lived.  Her conceptual music, videos, and performances are truly amazing.  Everyone should see her live before they die.
