There are 3 possibilities of what she could do: - Perform one of the nominated songs - Perform during the In Memoriam segment - Perform a tribute performance, like last year when P!nk sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow I'm fairly sure that the right option is the last one. Mars 2,084 Posted February 13, 2015 Share Posted February 13, 2015 I think it's going to be something "The Sound of Music" related. - The movie was released in 1965, making this year it's 50th anniversary. - She's working/rehearsing with Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (also producing the Oscars) who also created/produced "The Sound of Music Live!" together starring Carrie Underwood in 2013 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sound_of_Music_Live! - They are also working with Stephen Oremus who is an American musician who has worked on Broadway theatre productions as a musical director and as an orchestrator. - It seems as though part of the show could possibly be a tribute to Broadway - with Neil Patrick Harris hosting, Jennifer Hudson performing (In January it was announced that Hudson would be making her Broadway debut as Shug Avery in a revival of The Color Purple) and Anna Kendrick performing (she starred in the recent film adaptation of the Broadway musical Into The Woods, which is nominated for three Academy Awards).
