Ok, so my favorites are: Happy, Froot, I'm a Ruin, Forget, Solitaire, Weeds, Savages, Immortal.

Songs I love but a bit less than the favorites I listed: Blue, Can't Pin Me Down.

Least favorite, won't listen to much: Gold, Better Than That

Overall a solid album and has some BOPS. This is such a great album and the song writing is amazing.

Am I the only one who gets slight Carly Rae Jepsen teas from parts of the Blue instrumental?

You were disappointed before the album even came out lol. Maybe it will grow on you.

Nope. I doubt it. I listened to the album, and I can say I only really love Froot. The only song that has grown on me and will probably love soon is savages.

I really like this album but I don't know if it topped Electra Heart. I still need to listen to it a couple of more times to get a better impression.

I haven't stopped crying since I've listened to Solitaire. I don't know why but that song messed me up I haven't felt this strongly about music in so long.

I gave it two listens today. It seems to be a solid album. It is short, sweet, and to the point. My favorite of the original 4 released tracks is

Immortal. Out of the new ones, I can say that Blue, Forget, Better Than That, and Savages stand out to me the most. Can't Pin Me Down, Gold, and Solitaire were forgettable, as of now. Immortal still remains my all time favorite, even though I'm A Ruin and Savages are >>>

Anything I didn't or forgot to mention hasn't made an impression on me yet. Froot was a very wise choice to be the lead single IMO. Happy it leaked, but make sure you preorder it on iTunes!

You need to not think about it so much and just let the album play. You're kind of dooming yourself without even realizing it.

Its definitely the most optimistic sounding of her three records. I like that she uses actual instruments in its production, you can definitely tell. Blue is immediately my favorite song of the album and my favorite song of hers in general. I think its an incredibly catchy and successful pop song. I also really like Can't Pin Me Down and Solitaire. Im on the fence about both Forget and Savages although of the two I think I like Savages more. The chorus of Forget just kind of irks me for some reason but that bridge makes up for it. Weeds is eh, not bad but kind of cheesy...too sweet for me. Gold is fine. Overall I like the album.

Is good album tho.

Thise hating it might never enjoy mid to slow tempo music at all.

No real hits. Most of the songs feel more like fillers than "experimental" which I'm sure was what she was going for. It's the kind of album I could expect to play in the background while I read or clean...etc. but nothing is bop to. The song writing is still strong tho. I guess I was hoping for something more quirky and catchy a la her first album, with the polished sound of Electra heart. It just comes off as kinda boring, and I'm all for emotion heavy music. I just think emotion doesn't always have to mean slow and stagnant, as her first two albums had tons of emotion.

this. It's not that this album is terrible. Her first two albums were both just so undeniably strong. There was emotion, catchiness, sarcasm, and a lot of very clever reflections on life and culture. This album to me is just not up to par with her past work. My opinion

Yea I think that might've been her problem this album cycle (haven't listened yet). I think she established a strong fan base during EH and fans were expecting the style of music on her next record. She stated during the FAQin Hell that she drifted away from dance bops too...

a lot of the tracks seem to have similar chords and melodies, other than that a solid album. Some of them sound too alike in parts, but I really think this album is.... FROOTy :hor:
