Supersonic 49,376
Gaga wasn't exhausted by all the "blackouts" she had, Gaga was exhausted by being literally left completely alone the day before the album dropped and her former managment literally trying to sabotage her for the sake of being spiteful. Period. I don't know what is going on in your head, but being betrayed and shred to pieces by a person that was one of your best friends for more than 7 years sounds like something that would f*ck anybody up, at any point of their lives. MonsterVlad 1,777
The longer Gaga takes to work on her new album the more she edits and edits and makes it seem less natural. I don't want her to take too long. This We are all know how some ARTPOP songs changed from iTunes fest to it's release in just 2 months. And what we will get if she will work on it for so long is a good album with outdated sound. Still, there is no doubt for me that she won't release new album this year. Supersonic 49,376
yes gaga had all these blackouts because she was exhausted, and you were repeating everything else I said probably R.Kelly You make it sound so condescending. Like it was all of her fault. Like she knew that Troy was gonna dump her right when the album dropped. Like she should have been prepared for being f*cked over by the people she loved. What are you gonna say when two days after the next album drops, both of her parents die? Should she be prepared for that too? Have a funeral already booked & paid just in case? Give the eulogy via satellite, because she has to promo an album?

Dont twist my words, I'm not taking any sides, I expressed the situation as it seemed, the era failed because of her depression more that mismanagement, because she couldve done something about it ASAP but she didn't because her mood was down (which is true) and I'm not blaming her for it either, and every time she's talking about the Troy incident she goes back to talking about her hip surgery, so what between them is deeper than we know, so you can tell there have been some drama before she released ARTPOP, that's why I'm saying before releasing her next album she should be fully ready, she doesn't know how rough the road might be, but she should know How strong are her tires (her team)
Creyk 18,059
I don't expect anything new (well other than TIHTY) until Q3 of 2016, so I guess she will be rested enough by that time. The sound of the album might be completely dated by then, but hey that's not always a bad thing Applause had a retro feel yet it was a great lead single, even though it was leaked and completely outshined by roar
migamiga 12,102
It's not that easy just to hire a new manager and expect the everything to go smoothly. There's so much that goes into it. A manager is like the glue to the whole team and makes sure everyone is working in sync. There's contracts that need to be signed, the manager and artist should be on the same page and have the same goals, the artist should trust the manager, not to mention that promotional spots, endorsements, advertisement, etc. take months of advanced planning. To me, the ARTPOP era (commercially) was doomed from the get-go. Without managerial support, it really is a mess. Hence why Gaga had no time to rehearse, plan, and execute everything she wanted to do. It was briefly mentioned too in that interview with the lady in the room with all the mannequins covered in white cloth- she kept mentioning how before the interview there was a lot of confusion- first it's on, then cancelled, and then delayed, etc. Troy basically left her hanging. It's like your wedding planner quitting on the day of the wedding.
djBuffoon 12,136
The longer Gaga takes to work on her new album the more she edits and edits and makes it seem less natural. I don't want her to take too long. Here's how I see it: If we hadn't heard the versions at Swinefest, there would be zero discussion about how "natural" the album sounded. The finished versions are how Gaga and her producers conceived them to be, they sound like they're supposed to be that way. And honestly, 99% of the changes she made were smart and perfectly reasonable. I think fans have a problem with the changes because they got used to the old versions, not because they were necessarily better.
Ronk 14,765
Hiring a new manager the day after Troy suddenly left could not have repaired the damage that had already been done. Troy was able to damage an era, but Gaga is far too talented to let that ruin her career. Lesser artists could not have recovered. Gaga has a lot more inner strength than she is given credit for ... she's still standing. I live outside the space time continuum.
Whispering 18,865
I agree with the overall thinking in the OP. Gaga wasn't ready physically or mentally to come back when she did. It was too soon. Add onto that the facts that Troy wasn't any help, the media attacks, the ridiculous lawsuits going on at the time, and clinical depression...and I'm shocked we got an album that sold over 2 million WW, a couple of hits and the WW tour we got in the end! That showed me that Gaga is a fighter. Instead of feeling let down by this era, I was encouraged by it, because I now know that Gaga is so passionate about her art and her fans, that she will always fight for a way to get back to them.
